An IT Officer (Information Technology Officer) will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s computer systems, networks, and software.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesTechnical Support: Providing first-line support for hardware, software, and networking issues via phone, email, or in-person.System Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, computers, printers, and network equipment.Network Security: Monitoring network performance, ensuring data security, and performing regular backups.Asset Management: Maintaining inventory records of hardware and software licenses.User Support & Training: Training employees on new technology and creating user guides.Vendor Liaison: Acting as a point of contact for external IT suppliers and service providers. Requirements and QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.Proven experience in IT support or administration.Strong technical knowledge of Windows/Linux/macOS, network protocols, and security principles.
