First Capital Shared Services Ltd is looking to hire a motivated Officer, IT Operations to join its IT Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Group IT & Security Operations.
 
Join Our Team at First Capital Shared Services Ltd!The IT Operations – Assistant/ Officer will be responsible for delivering frontline IT support, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests across all locations. The role supports operational continuity through EOD processing, workstation deployment, IT asset management, application administration, and system monitoring. The selected candidate will also uphold IT governance and information security standards, while supporting DR activities, infrastructure-related tasks, and continuous service improvement.Key Responsibilities:Provide Level 1 support for Mauritius and in-country locations in line with defined SLAs for a wide range of constantly evolving software and hardware.Perform End-of-Day (EOD) operations and work in shifts, as per the roster established by management.Manage incidents and service requests through the service management tool.Set up, configure, and support workstations and relevant applications.Maintain and adhere to IT governance and security standards across all IT service management processes.Identify recurring issues or service risks.Proactively ensure high levels of system and infrastructure availability through effective monitoring, alerting, and cross functional communication.Perform workstation asset management, including maintaining accurate inventory records, documentation, and technical specifications.Assist in disaster recovery (DR) drills and failover testing.Assist in infrastructure-related projects as required.Ensure timely delivery of tasks in line with committed timelines and SLAs.Remediate findings from IT audits, IT security reviews, or other assessments as assigned.Develop and maintain technical documentation up to date, while promoting knowledge sharing among peers.Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.What we are looking for:Minimum of a Diploma or Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.Minimum 3 years of work experience in IT, with at least 2 years of proven experience in Level 1 Support and/or System Administration, preferably in the banking sector or Financial Services (for Officer Level).CompTIA certifications, such as Network+, Server+, would constitute an added advantage.Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and countries.Good analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with practical, hands-on IT Support and troubleshooting experience.Good team player who works well with colleagues and supports team objectives.Join us and be part of a team that values integrity, innovation, collaboration, service excellence, simplicity, and respect – where your contribution drives growth and makes a lasting impact.Regards,Human Resources Department
