Tractor Driver

The Tractor Driver will operate tractors safely to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
 
Main dutiesOperate tractors safely to transport goods and materials to designated locations.Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure serviceablility and roadworthiness.Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.Ensure loads are properly secured. Follow established routes and schedules.Comply with ttraffic laws and regulations.Monitor vehicle performance and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the management.Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures includin g the use of personal protective equipment and safe driving practices.ProfileProven experience as an articulated truck driver, excellent driving skills with clean driving records.Knowledge of road safety regulations and a strong commitment to safety.Flexibility to work odd hours as required by the delivery schedule.A basic notion of mechanics is essential.Good communication skills.Additional certifications or training in defensive driving or other relevant areas would be an advantage.QualificationsSchool Certificate (SC) or any equivalent qualification.5 years’ of relevant work experience.Holder of a valid goods vehicle driving license.
