Job Description
The Vehicle Assistant supports the driver in the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods, equipment, or personnel. The role includes assisting with loading and unloading, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, verifying deliveries, and maintaining safety standards throughout the journey.
Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently. Ensure all items are properly secured before transportation. Help verify delivery orders, invoices, and other transport documents. Assist with deliveries and collections according to the assigned schedule. Guide the driver while reversing, parking, or maneuvering in tight spaces. Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Perform basic vehicle checks (e.g., tires, lights, cleanliness) and report any defects to the supervisor. Ensure all cargo is handled carefully to prevent damage. Assist in maintaining accurate delivery records and obtaining customer signatures where required. Follow all company safety procedures and traffic regulations. Provide courteous and professional service to customers. Assist with any other transport or warehouse-related duties as assigned.
