    A postgraduate qualification in sustainability, climate change, agriculture, environmental management, economics, or a related field will be an advantage.
    Experience
    Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in agriculture, agribusiness, sustainability, ESG research, environmental research, climate change, development finance, agricultural finance, or a related field.
    Experience conducting research, assessments, data analysis, and report writing. Experience working with agricultural businesses, projects, commodities, food systems, or agricultural value chains will be an advantage.
    Knowledge and Technical Skills
    Candidates should have a good understanding of:

    About the Role
    IPMC LIMITED is looking for a hands-on Technology Officer to support the design, development, operation and continuous improvement of our data intelligence and subscription-based digital platforms. The role works across software engineering, live-data systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, APIs, DevOps and emerging AI capabilities, with increasing technical ownership as experience grows. Key Responsibilities
    Build, maintain and support backend services, web applications, APIs, data services, integrations, testing, releases and production systems.
    Develop and operate live and near-real-time data pipelines, including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, enrichment, reconciliation and data quality monitoring.
    Support subscription technology including user access, authentication, authorization, billing and payment integrations, renewals, webhooks, usage tracking and service notifications.
    Support cloud infrastructure, databases, containers, networking, backups, disaster recovery, CI/CD, observability, logging, alerting and performance tuning.
    Implement secure development and operational controls including IAM/RBAC, least privilege, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, patching, audit logging and incident response.
    Evaluate and implement practical AI, machine learning, automation, forecasting, anomaly detection, search, summarization and decision-support use cases where relevant.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    3+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, data platforms, cloud technology, digital products or technology operations. Strong candidates with substantial project experience may also be considered.
