Job Summary
A Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained to provide excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
Change bed linens and make beds.
Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
Vacuum carpets and mop floors.
Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, and drinking water.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
Report maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor.
Ensure rooms are secure after cleaning.
Respond politely to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
Qualifications
High school certificate or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage.
Good physical fitness and ability to work long hours standing or walking.
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
