Job Description
Required Skills & Technical Competencies
Strong proficiency in
PHP 7+
and Object-Oriented Programming OOP.
Hands-on experience with
Yii1
,
Yii2
, and
Laravel
.
Strong knowledge of
MySQL
and database design.
Experience working in
Linux
environments.
Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Solid understanding of SQL optimization and database performance.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular is an advantage.
Experience using Git-based version control systems GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs SOAP knowledge is an added advantage.
Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance optimization.
Experience building workflow management applications and enterprise software platforms.
Familiarity with SaaS application deployment.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.

Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.

Experience working in Agile development environments is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of
6 years’ professional experience
as a PHP Software Engineer.
Experience developing enterprise applications.
Experience within the
power/energy sector
is an added advantage.
Knowledge of
Java
is an added advantage.
