    Key duties and responsibilities
    Plan and monitor the progress of the drilling operation and control all associated work in a safe and efficient manner as defined in the drilling program
    Monitor adherence to standards, specifications and procedures and review performance of department staff
    Ensure that staff are provided with sufficient resources and training to achieve their safety objectives
    Check programmes and calculations supplied by the Operator and challenge them if necessary
    Perform well control calculations as required
    Keep daily logs/reports in connection with drilling operations
    Agree and check monthly timesheets with Operator
    Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all drilling equipment, including marine riser and drill string components.
    Required skills and experience
    Previous experience in a similar position, installation and duel operating ram rig
    Proven experience with a Schlumberger Deepwater MPD operation including its hardware and control system
    20 years of relative experience
    Competence in personnel management
    Management of Major Emergencies
    IWCF Well Control – L4 Supervisor
    IWCF Well Control – L5 Enhanced Supervisor
    Accident Investigation
    Drilling Riser Analysis.

    Convert and transmit requisitions from approved Material Request’s by Heads of Departments and Chief Engineer’s, according to Stena Drilling Material Control Procedures
    Assist the HLO as directed including the administration duties required by helicopter operations
    Will also assist with baggage as required
    Ensuring the preparation of shipping documents for equipment going ashore; Manifest, Materials Transfer, Repair/Return Orders and “Equipment Data Transfer Sheet”
    Report all non-conformances to the Chief Engineer.
    Required skills and experience
    Minimum 5 years relevant experience
    Excellent knowledge and experience of Maximo
    IATA Dangerous Goods by Air & Sea.

    Undertake operational maintenance, planned maintenance, installation and repairs on the electronic equipment throughout the rig
    Deputise for the Chief Electrician or Senior Electrician as required
    Must be familiar with the electronic systems and equipment in order to safely comply with instructions given in emergency situations
    Ensure that all electronic installation, maintenance and repair work is carried out in accordance with the relevant offshore standards and that equipment is fit for purpose.
    Required skills and experience
    Time served level 3 electronic technician with S/NVQ3 or equivalent
    HNC or equivalent
    Previous experience gained as electronic technician on a drilling vessel

    CompEx EX01-EX04 or equivalent.
