Qualification:
Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 6) (Essential)
Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or related qualification (NQF 7) (Advantage)
Experience:
2 or more years’ experience within a warehouse environment
1 year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
Specific Knowledge Requirements:
Computer literate, with solid proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Experience with SAP, including bin history, printing and capturing stock count sheets.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Job Specifications:
Inbound Logistics
Supervising the planning, preparation and checking of inbound shipments
Controls & Coordinates inbound activities
Reports on statistics & analytics to facilitate continuous improvement of warehouse operations
Reports on slow-moving & obsolete stock
Warehouse Supervision & Inventory Control
Facilitates and monitors correct storage of items
Maintains/improves planograph (lay out) of the warehouse facility
Checks that warehouse and yard security is maintained and that assets are safeguarded
Arranges and participates in stock counts (perpetual stock counts and ad hoc counts as required)
Supervises warehouse operations in multiple stores, such as tool stores, consumable stores and hazardous materials stores
Monitors bins, layouts and zones by conducting inspections
Monitors tidiness, cleanliness and order in the warehouse
Parts Obsolescence
Prints parts obsolescence reports at set frequency as per procedure
Administrates the parts scrapping procedure
Monitors parts for obsolescence
Reports obsolete parts to management
Outbound Logistics
Supervises the planning, preparation and checking of outbound shipments
Controls & Coordinates outbound activities
Monitors picking for outbound inventory / parts/components/items
Monitors “zero” picking
Supervises the operation of mechanical handling equipment (e.g. fork lifts, etc.)
Reports on statistics and analytics
Reports on customer satisfaction about outbound activities
