Minimum Required Qualification:

Level 6: Diploma and Advanced Certificates Advanced Diplomas Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology

The Appointee should:

CoM Advanced Survey or CoM Advanced Evaluation or Mining related qualification (e.g., Shift boss CoC)
At least 3 years’ relevant experience / Role
Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Clear security screening record.
Clear credit record.
Valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

Mine Planning Completes ad-hoc plans, profiles, development and stoping layouts according to requirements and in terms of set guidelines in line with mining-parameters to support the achievement of the required outputs for the business Maintains appropriate database administration, record keeping, stats, reporting, control, and reconciliation systems in line with department’s requirements. Interpretation/analysis of production and planning data for production units to improve mining compliance and standards and to enhance the detection and reporting of deviations from plan and metal accounting issues. Keeps abreast of latest relevant Mine Planning developments, innovations and technologies by means of liaising with other sources and by attending meetings on a regular basis
Stakeholder Relations Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes. Financial Management Ensures that costs are controlled, and wastage of resources is eliminated by working within prescribed budgets. Reports deviations to Supervisor. Building a values-based organisational culture Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance Align to international responsible mining principles. SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs). SHE Compliance Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment. Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management: Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department. Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS): Approve department’s documents. Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Focus on safe production & operational excellence Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence Improve our position on global industry cost curve People Management Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff. Manage performance and development of reporting staff. Ensure fair work allocation for team members. Inspire team members towards high performance.
