Key responsibilities
Financial reporting of designated investment cluster businesses
Management and statutory financial reporting, including consolidation
Ensuring that financial records are maintained which are comprehensive, up to date, accurate and meet legal and regulatory requirements
Tax compliance
Preparation of holding and group company AFS
Project management of specific financial Cluster initiatives throughout the year
Stakeholder management with specific focus on business strategy and involvement in the various businesses of Sanlam Investments
Management of the intercompany loan confirmation process
Assist in monthly/quarterly reporting, ad hoc deliverables
Preparation of fund flows and AUM reporting
Minimum requirements
Experience within financial services would be advantageous
Experience in compiling complex group annual financial statements
Experience in consolidations will be highly advantageous
Ideally 3 years’ experience within a Financial Accounting role
Qualified CA
Strong understanding and both practical and theoretical knowledge of IFRS 9
Technical Competencies
Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
JDE accounting
IDU (budgeting tool)
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office essential, especially Excel
