Seeking a highly skilled and commercially strong Group Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations of multiple dealerships within a multi-branch automotive group.
This role requires a strategic finance professional with strong motor industry experience who can provide financial oversight, operational support, compliance management, and performance analysis across multiple entities.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the business, driving financial accuracy, profitability, reporting standards, and process improvement across the group.
Minimum Requirements:
Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (non-negotiable)
Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience
Proven experience within the motor industry (essential)
Experience managing multiple entities, branches, or dealership operations
Experience working on Evolve and EasyBI or similar dealership systems
Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience
Strong commercial and business acumen
Strong leadership and team management capability
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee and manage the full financial function across multiple dealerships.
Ensure accurate and timeous preparation of monthly management accounts.
Analyse financial performance and provide strategic insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow
Monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow across the group.
Support operational teams with financial planning and decision-making.
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies where required.
Compliance & Financial Controls
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors where required.
Leadership & Team Management
Manage and support dealership financial teams across multiple locations.
Drive accountability, financial discipline, and continuous improvement within finance operations.
Support the development and standardisation of financial processes across the group.
Operational & Strategic Support
Provide financial guidance and strategic input to senior leadership and operational management.
Travel regularly to dealership branches for financial oversight, support, and audits.
Drive process improvements and reporting efficiencies across the business.
