Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to grow market share, with a strong focus on the food packaging industry.
Direct Sales & Business Development: Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging your established network within the food packaging and related industries.
Account Management: Maintain and grow your existing clientele while strengthening relationships within the company’s current customer base, particularly in food manufacturing, retail, and packaging sectors.
Product Expertise: Confidently present and promote our food packaging solutions, including PP (Polypropylene) and LD (Low-Density Polyethylene) product ranges, articulating their technical and commercial advantages.
Negotiation & Closing: Secure profitable deals that align with company margins while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Market Insights: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, track performance, and provide insights on trends and competitor activity within the market.
Requirements
Essential Industry Experience
Proven experience in the food packaging industry (PP & LD environment)
Strong working knowledge of FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) standards
Must bring an existing, transferable portfolio of clients within the food packaging sector
Education & Skills
Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or a related field – advantageous
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
