Key Responsibilities
Drive, manage and implement the grocery channel strategy, with particular focus on the Foods portfolio.
Build and manage relationships across grocery, specialty, and B2B
Analyse and understand the Foods category, including competitors, market share, distribution, and new product opportunities
Confidently negotiate trading terms and ensure profitable growth across your portfolio
Grow customer profitability by conducting regular store visits
Work closely with the Foods Innovation team to ensure all trends, opportunities and gaps are fully understood and maximised.
Negotiate annual trading terms in line with business plan.
Negotiate ranging, new listings, price and promotional activity with regional and national buyers by key account.
Work closely with senior management on future food strategy
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
7–10+ years’ experience in FMCG/food categories, ideally from smaller, entrepreneurial companies
Experienced in trading terms negotiations with big retailers
Strong commercial acumen: beyond sales, you understand brand management, trade marketing, and business growth
Comfortable managing multiple channels and categories, with a focus on speciality foods
Existing relationships across retail and B2B food markets will be beneficial
Competitive, high-energy, and able to thrive under pressure
A strong Key Account Manager with excellent negotiation skills, commercial sense, and relationship-building ability
