As a principal recipient of the Global Fund and in partnership with USAID and PEPFAR and other public and private sector partners, NACOSA works at all levels – from international agencies and national government, right though to sub-district services and small, community groups. NACOSA acts as a bridge between people and health and social services. The NACOSA Training Institute is a centre of excellence providing affordable, accredited and quality training and development opportunities to organisations, businesses and their frontline staff. The key performance areas of the role include:
Mobilise and recruit adolescent boys and young men into programme activities.
Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and community dialogues.
Conduct outreach, awareness, and behaviour change activities within communities.
Provide referrals and follow-up support for health and social services.
Maintain accurate records and submit activity reports.
Promote positive health-seeking behaviour and gender equality.
Requirements
Required qualifications, skills and experience
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Experience working with young people and communities will be an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for community development and youth empowerment.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel within communities.
Fluent in English and one additional South African language relevant to the programme area.
