Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and overall direction to the Company in line with its vision, mission, and long-term objectives.
Develop and implement business strategies, growth initiatives, and operational plans to enhance profitability and market presence.
Oversee underwriting, claims, finance, risk management, compliance, operations, and business development functions.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including those prescribed by Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) and international best practices.
Drive innovation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, regulators, shareholders, reinsurers, and other key stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the executive management team to achieve operational excellence and a high-performance culture.
Identify and pursue regional and international business opportunities to strengthen the Company’s competitive position.
Represent the Company at industry forums, conferences, and public engagements.
Requirements
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as AIISA, ACII, CFA, CPA, FIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services sector, with a minimum of 7 years at senior executive or leadership level.
Strong understanding of reinsurance operations, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated track record in strategic leadership, business growth, stakeholder engagement, and financial performance management.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Visionary and transformational leadership capabilities.
High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
