Job Purpose:

The Quality & Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the required quality standards and safety regulations. The role involves conducting inspections, coordinating material testing, maintaining accurate records, and supporting safe and efficient site operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure compliance with approved engineering standards, specifications, and safety regulations on site.
Record concrete pouring time for each structural component and maintain proper documentation.
Prepare concrete test blocks, coordinate batch testing, and compile concrete test reports.
Coordinate batch testing of bulk construction materials and maintain accurate quality test reports.
Maintain and update machinery maintenance records, ensuring proper documentation and timely servicing.
Conduct routine quality and safety inspections; identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure all safety procedures and guidelines are strictly followed on site.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality and safety reports.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of all inspection records and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in engineering quality inspection within a construction environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of construction quality control standards and material testing procedures.
Basic understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
