Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius is looking for a potential Commis 1 to join the Food Preparation team, who can demonstrate strong culinary skills, discipline and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring proper food preparation according to standard recipes, maintaining freshness and quality as directed by the Chef de Cuisine.Responsible to check periodically stock inventories.Responsible to monitor and assist in all the sanitation procedures.Responsible for producing food according to forecasted demand on a timely basis and with minimum wastage.Monitored cleaning activities, especially night cleaning, ensuring proper waste disposal without risk of food contamination.Qualifications and Experience:Secondary School Certificate2-3 years of kitchen experience in the hotel sector.Prior 5* Hotel Experience.Additional Requirements:Candidate should be able to fully understand and follow company food hygiene and safe food handling policies.Candidate should be flexible to work additional and odd hours.
