Job Description
A Field Crop Labourer performs general agricultural work in crop fields, including land preparation, planting, watering, weeding, fertilizing, harvesting, and handling crops. The worker assists in maintaining fields and ensuring crops are properly cultivated and harvested.
Prepare and maintain soil and crop fields. Plant seeds, seedlings, and crops as instructed. Water crops and assist with irrigation activities. Remove weeds and unwanted plants from crop areas. Apply fertilizers, compost, and other approved agricultural treatments. Assist with crop harvesting and collection. Sort, clean, pack, and load harvested crops. Carry out basic field maintenance and cleaning. Use and maintain basic agricultural tools and equipment safely. Assist supervisors and other agricultural workers with daily field activities. Follow workplace health, safety, and agricultural procedures.
