Job Description
• Welding & Joining: Utilize gas welding (brazing, cutting) and electric welding (TIG/GTAW, MIG/GMAW, Stick) techniques to join metal parts according to specifications. • Preparation: Prepare, clean, and align metal parts using wire brushes, grinders, and clamps. • Equipment Setup: Select appropriate torches, torches, electrodes, and filler rods; adjust gas pressure and electrical voltage for the material. • Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blue prints, sketches, and engineering drawings to determine welding methods. • Inspection: Inspect finished welds for structural integrity, defects, and compliance with quality standards. • Safety & Maintenance: Follow safety protocols to prevent hazards like electric shock or toxic fumes; perform maintenance on welding equipment.
Interpreting blueprints • Setting up machinery • Cleaning surfaces • Cutting metal, and ensuring high-quality • Perform safe, and precise welds. • Making dimensioned freehand sketches and reading and interpreting any drawings; • Carrying out all welding jobs according to the strictest procedures; • Working with metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding sets • Reading and carrying out properly welding instructions written in English and French;
