    Key duties and responsibilities
    The Rig Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the unit
    Acts as the formal single point of contact with the Client and is responsible for the liaison and negotiations with the Client on all matters operational
    Ensure that the unit fulfils all authority, client and company requirements with regards to the technical standard of the unit its equipment and certification
    Responsible for the operational management of their assigned unit in accordance with the policies of the Company
    Responsible for the performance of the drilling unit on behalf of the Client
    Maintain Client Relationships
    Ensure that the operation of the unit is planned and organised in accordance with established procedures, and that the necessary resources are available.
    Required skills and experience
    Previous experience as a Rig Manager, managing a Stena Drilling deep-water drilling unit with duel operating ram rig experience
    Previous experience with a Schlumberger Deepwater MPD operation including its hardware and control system
    20 years relative experience
    Management of Major Emergencies.

    Responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance of new, refurbished or upgraded BOP MUX equipment on board vessel
    Assist with the correct assembly, operation, maintenance, testing and disconnection of the subsea blowout preventer, marine riser and related equipment
    Ensure all subsea BOP MUX equipment conforms to vessel’s class and applicable API requirements
    Be fully conversant with Level 2 procedures and ensure that Level 5 RSWMs are fully updated with current work practices and are in accordance with SMS.
    Required skills and experience
    Industry recognized engineering qualifications
    Previous experience as a Subsea Engineer or as an Electronic Technician working on subsea electronics
    Previous experience with similar subsea electronic systems
    Previous experience with Cameron MK III control system
    8 years relevant experience.

    The duties of the “4th Floorman” will also include:
    Be available on the Drill Floor, making sure that there will always be 3 experienced hands available for operations
    Assist in the training of Roustabouts, not jeopardising the operation in hand
    Participate as a member of the Risk Assessment Team.

    Carry out derrick inspections and Dropped Object Checks thoroughly and timely, document the results and ensure any anomalies are reported
    Responsible for performing Planned Maintenance on drilling equipment thoroughly and timely and recording it on the PM sheets as delegated by Assistant Driller or Junior Driller where applicable.

    At the beginning of their shift, they verify the position of the valves on all circuits and on the choke manifold
    Ensures Daily Inspection of Derrick/Mast is performed, and any defects reported to Supervisor
    Execute instructions from the Driller and Toolpusher
    Ensure the drilling operation is carried out as defined in the approved Operator’s Instructions and Drilling Programme, and the operation is executed in accordance with Stena’s Drilling Operation Manual and RSWMs
    Responsible for ensuring the Drilling Crew perform Planned Maintenance on drilling equipment thoroughly and timely, and that it is recorded on the PM sheets.
    Required skills and experience
    Previous experience as an Assistant Driller on similar unit
    10 years relative experience
    Previous experience on a similar installation, duel operating ram rig
    Knowledge of Managed Pressure Drilling Operations in Deepwater
    Good communication skills
    IWCF Well Control – Level 3 Driller.
