Job Description
What You’ll Own
Provide strategic and business leadership for the firm’s power sector practice, spanning training programmes and engineering consulting engagements
Own full P&L responsibility for the power practice, including budgeting, cost control and profit management
Lead business development from the front — personally driving new client acquisition, key account relationships and strategic partnerships alongside the BD team
Set strategic direction and quality standards for technical training curricula and courses covering generation, transmission and distribution
Own relationships with DISCOs, GENCOs, TCN, IPPs and regulatory bodies NERC at executive level
Drive performance management across the power practice — setting KPIs, monitoring delivery and building team capability
Build, mentor and manage the power engineering and training leadership team
Requirements
B.Eng / B.Sc in Electrical/Power Engineering; MBA/M.Sc strongly preferred
COREN registration required
Deep working knowledge of NERC regulations and grid codes
Minimum 15 years’ cognate experience in the power sector generation, transmission, distribution
Proven track record in strategic and business management, including P&L, budget and profit management
Demonstrated success leading business development and winning new business at executive level
Strong background in performance management and building high-performing team.
