Job Description
Job Brief
We are seeking a Project Officer who will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting minigrid projects. The role involves budget tracking, regulatory compliance, grant and tender management, and performance evaluation of project sites to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
Develop detailed project plans and timelines.
Monitor project progress on a weekly basis.
Prepare and submit monthly stakeholder reports.
Ensure high reporting compliance ≥95%.
Project Budget Management
Track project budgets against actual expenditures.
Conduct variance analysis at each project milestone.
Provide insights to support financial decisionmaking.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
Initiate and manage all regulatory and compliance documentation.
Ensure accurate and complete submission of grantrelated documents.
Maintain minimal documentation errors ≤2%.
Ensure timely review and submission of all compliance requirements.
Grant & Tender Applications
Identify and process eligible grant and tender opportunities.
Prepare and submit applications before deadlines.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
Maintain error rates below 5%.
Grant Claims Management
Process and submit grant claims within deadlines.
Ensure all claims are accurate and welldocumented.
Maintain error rates below 2%.
Site Performance Monitoring & Evaluation
Generate and distribute monthly site performance reports.
Ensure high data accuracy ≥98%.
Identify underperforming sites and recommend corrective actions.
Support implementation of performance improvement strategies.
Productive Use Equipment PUE Monitoring
Track and analyze energy consumption before and after PUE deployment.
Evaluate the impact of PUEs on business performance.
Prepare monthly reports on PUE performance and consumption trends.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 12 years experience in project management, preferably in energy or minigrid projects.
Experience with grant management and regulatory compliance is an added advantage.
