Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Corporate Commercial & Business Advisory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate commercial law and business advisory, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in managing clients’ needs, mentoring junior associates, and contributing to the firm’s growth and success.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in commercial law, corporate transactions, and regulatory compliance, with proven experience in advising businesses in Nigeria or other African markets.
Experience in Infrastructure, Project Finance and Capital Markets is an added advantage
LL. B, B.L required.
Minimum of 8 Years Post-Call Work Experience in a commercial law firm or corporate legal department, ideally with exposure to cross-border or Africa-focused work
Post Graduate degree is an added advantage
Advanced legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, including the ability to structure complex deals and produce clear, well-reasoned legal opinions.
Demonstrated client relationship management skills, including the ability to understand business objectives and deliver practical, solution-oriented advice.
Experience mentoring and supervising junior legal professionals, with strong teamwork, collaboration, and leadership capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive mindset, professional integrity, and commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
