    POSITION: CONSULAR ASSISTANT
    Duration of Employment:The initial contract is for two (2) years (dependent upon successful completion of a three (3) months probation period). Renewal will be contingent on satisfactory performance and exigencies of duty.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Serving as the Consular Assistant, the candidate will be handling the following tasks:

    Report directly to the Immigration Attaché
    Facilitate processing of Electronic Travel Authorizations (ETAs), passports and other travel-related documentation in accordance with established regulations
    Submit consular documents to the Immigration Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and other relevant authorities
    Provide accurate information and guidance in response to public inquiries regarding travel requirements and consular procedures
    Collection of consular fees and issuance of official receipts for all processed services
    Assist in receiving Mission visitors
    Any other duties as may be assigned

    REQUIREMENTS
    Applicants must satisfy the qualifications listed below, failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application:

    A. General Requirements:

    Must be a Zambian Citizen or a Permanent Resident with a valid permit

    B. Education:

    Must possess a Diploma preferably in Diplomacy & International Relations

    Primary & Secondary Schooling (K-12)
    C. Experience:

    Must possess at least two (2) years working experience preferably in a similar institution

    D. Relevant Documentation:

  • Field Ecologist at Musekese Conservation

    Overview
    Musekese Conservation works within the Greater Kafue Ecosystem to support biodiversity conservation through a combination of resource protection, community engagement, and ecological monitoring. The Research & Monitoring programme generates high-quality data to inform conservation management and decision-making across the landscape.

    The Field Ecologist supports the implementation of this programme through field-based data collection, data management, and quality control. Working under the guidance of the Research & Site Manager, and alongside the rest of the research team, the role contributes to monitoring activities including intensive monitoring of collared large carnivores, camera trapping, herbivore transects, and vehicle-based search & encounter surveys.
    The position requires confident driving skills in 4×4 and off-road conditions, a structured approach to data collection and handling, and the ability to work effectively in remote field conditions. The Field Ecologist will also support the training and supervision of intern field staff, contributing to overall team capacity and maintaining high data quality standards.
    Key Responsibilities
    Field Data Collection

    Support and lead assigned research drives and monitoring activities in line with approved plans and SOPs
    Accurately record sightings, survey effort, and field activities using SMART and associated tools
    Collect high-quality photographic data for identification purposes
    Collect and manage citizen science data from partner lodges

    Data Entry & Management

    Enter, clean, ID and manage field data in line with organisational protocols
    Ensure all datasets are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines
    Conduct first-level quality control on all data prior to submission

    Supervision & Training

    Train, mentor, and supervise Intern Field Ecologists based at our field camp in Kafue National Park
    Ensure adherence to field and data collection protocols
    Review and verify intern-collected data prior to submission
    Provide ongoing feedback to support skill development and data quality improvement

    Identification Support

    Support preparation of identification images and associated records
    Compile and organise sighting and image data for monthly identification reviews
    Assist in maintaining updated records of individual animals, including traits and notable events

    Ad hoc support and logistics

    Support the day-to-day administrative and logistical needs of the field camp when required
    Assist in presenting Musekese Conservation’s work to donors, partners, and lodge guests
    Provide support for transport logistics, including staff movements and field transfers

     
    Key Skills & Competencies

    Strong fieldwork skills and ability to operate in remote environments
    High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and management
    Experience or familiarity with data collection tools (e.g. SMART, GPS, Excel)
    Basic wildlife identification skills, with interest in large carnivore ID work
    Strong organisational and time management skills
    Effective communication and teamwork
    Ability to mentor and support junior staff
    Adaptability and problem-solving in dynamic field conditions

     
    Minimum Requirements

    Zambian resident
    BSc degree or diploma in Wildlife Management, Ecology, Conservation, or a related field
    At least 1–2 years of relevant field experience
    Valid driver’s license and ability to drive in off-road conditions
    Experience working in remote field environments is highly desirable

    4. People Management

    5. Administration & Reporting

    Maintain accurate and secure warehouse documentation and stock records
    Prepare and submit:

    Daily Inventory Reconciliation Reports
    Daily Inventory Status Reports (by batch and expiry)
    Weekly Warehouse MANCOM Reports with analysis and recommendations

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    Grade 12 Certificate
    Diploma in Accounting or a related business field

    Job description:

    This role is for a metallurgist or related field who has worked with analysing and reporting process data in visible ways. He/She will be responsible for conducting daily plant performance analysis as well as creating tools/dashboard reports that assist in real time plant performance tracking. The metallurgist must be able to provide support to the wider process team to assist with pre and post benefit analysis on projects as well as be able to create data models.
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

    Develop reports using the current historian applications to track the performance of the process operation.
    Develop and maintain custom dashboard reports from company databases that drive process optimization and identification of opportunities for improvement.
    Refine and improve the performance of the reporting systems already in place.
    Support the Operations team in the fault-finding and troubleshooting.
    Ensure data accuracy in daily, weekly and monthly metal accounting reports.
    Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging process data to drive business improvement.
    Use of advanced statistical techniques and concepts in reporting (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage)
    Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

    Data Management
     
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering is preferred, but candidates with other related Bachelors or engineering fields can also apply.
    Knowledge of Metal accounting is an added advantage.
    Experience with Excel, Python, SQL, Power Bi and Osisoft PI system will be advantageous

     
    All academic qualifications and results must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

    A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a Process plant environment is desired
