    Job Summary

    Key Responsibilities
    Human Resources:
    Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
    Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation.
    Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation.
    Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
    Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and leave administration.
    Prepare attendance reports and employee information for payroll processing.
    Draft queries, warning letters, and other disciplinary documents.
    Maintain records of employee performance reviews and appraisal documentation.
    Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
    Coordinate staff welfare and employee engagement initiatives.
    Administration:
    Manage general office administrative activities and documentation.
    Maintain office records and filing systems.
    Coordinate office supplies and administrative requirements.
    Schedule meetings and maintain meeting records.
    Prepare weekly and monthly HR and administrative reports.
    Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned by management.
    Requirements
    B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
    1–2 years’ experience in an HR or administrative role.
    Basic knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
    Strong organisational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
    High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced and digitally driven environment.
    Digital Skills:
    The ideal candidate should have practical experience using workplace and HR technology, including some of the following:
    Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
    Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
    HR software (e.g., Zoho People, BambooHR, Odoo HR, or similar)
    Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat)
    Task management tools (Trello, Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com)
    Experience with every tool is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable learning and adapting to new digital systems.

    Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, policies, and corporate documents.
    Providing legal advisory services on commercial transactions and operational matters.
    Monitoring changes in legislation and advising Management and the Board on regulatory implications.
    Managing corporate governance initiatives and ensuring compliance with governance best practices.
    Overseeing litigation management and liaising with external solicitors where necessary.
    Ensuring effective legal risk management across the Company.
    Protecting the Company’s intellectual property and legal interests.
    Developing and implementing compliance programmes and internal governance policies.
    Supporting strategic corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring exercises where applicable.
    Performing any other duties assigned by the Board or the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
    Candidate Profile
    Educational Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree (LL.B.) from a recognised university.
    Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
    Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
    Valid practising licence.
    Membership of the Chartered Governance Institute of Nigeria (CGIN)/ICSAN will be an added advantage.
    A Master’s Degree (LL.M., MBA, or related discipline) will be an added advantage.
    Experience:
    Must have 8–10 years’ post-call experience, with at least 5 years in a Company Secretary or Senior Legal Counsel role.
    Proven experience working in a Public Limited Liability Company, listed company, or a reputable corporate law firm.
    Demonstrable experience supporting Boards of Directors and Board Committees.
    Technical Competencies:
    Excellent knowledge of Corporate Governance Principles.
    Strong understanding of CAMA, SEC Regulations, NGX Listing Rules, and other regulatory requirements.
    Excellent company secretarial and board management skills.
    Strong legal drafting, contract negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
