Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
Assess pupils’ learning and maintain accurate academic records.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Manage classroom behavior effectively and encourage positive discipline.
Prepare lesson notes, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
Identify and support pupils with varying learning needs.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding pupils’ progress.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Ensure the welfare and safety of all pupils under your care.
Carry out other teaching and administrative duties as assigned by the school management.
Requirements
Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed., or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
At least 1 year of teaching experience in a primary school.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Proficiency in English spoken and written.
Passion for teaching and child development.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
