    Role Context

    Supplier Management

    Coordinate and schedule the planned maintenance of equipment across the allocated department/s of the mine by answering the radio, allocating and planning maintenance based on urgency to minimise operational downtime of the equipment and machinery on the mine.
    Create job cards for both planned and un-planned maintenance of equipment and machinery within the allocated functions of the mine, by engaging with the relevant areas to highlight the reason for maintenance or repairs with the Engineering department ensuring all maintenance is scheduled and timelines communicated with all relevant stakeholders.
    Book the equipment and machinery back on duty, on all systems, and complete the job card by detailing the nature of the repairs/maintenance completed in order to drive optimal utilisation of the equipment.
    Capture all data relating to both the planned and unplanned maintenance per shift by inputting all relevant data into the respective systems in order to provide input into the shift summary report, detailing the status of all machines and equipment.
    Engage with the respective artisans conducting repairs and maintenance on the various types of equipment and machinery to ensure the relevant inspections have been completed before booking the machine out of the Engineering department for active duty.
    Keep the model floor updated based on equipment and machinery movements by engaging with the respective operators, foreman and superintendents across the mine to inform comprehensive tracking and utilisation of machinery.
    Analyse and review the previous shift reports by scrutinising the content of the report, identifying any discrepancies and ensuring the most current and accurate data is recorded to support informed decision making by other areas of the mine.
    Monitor, coordinate and report on incidents, accidents, and breakdowns along with the responses, to identify any delays throughout the process to ensure TM’s response to similar situations is enhanced and the frequency of the situations is reduced.

    Resource Management

    Provide input into required changes in resources to enable the achievement of team and own objectives.
    Determine resource needs of the team to achieve business outcomes and recommend changes or additions to the team to support the success of the team.
    Request and allocate required assets and/or resources for the fulfilment of work objectives to guarantee quality outputs and support the pit superintendent with the start of shift by ensuring adherence to the established procedures.
    Contribute toward the collection of and capturing of data from across the respective areas of the mine by acting as the first point of contact between the functions on the mine and the support functions on the mine.

    Stakeholder Relations

    Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships.
    Foster swift and effective communication between the control room operators and their respective stakeholders across the organisation by developing the relationships across the respective areas and ensuring optimal delivery from the control room.
    Direct elements of the mining operations by coordinating the maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed and as planned on a daily, weekly and monthly basis ensuring any breakdowns are attended to by the relevant department as efficiently as possible.
    Communicate breakdowns to the various and relevant superintendent as per the required procedure and update the system accordingly ensuring there is a live view of the available equipment and the estimated downtime for the repairs.
