Role Context

Conduct safe declarations before the start of shift.
Facilitate the daily Safety meeting before proceeding to your work area.
Ensure that a pre-start checklist (both the bakkie being used and all equipment responsible for in the pit) is done every day before your shift starts; this is done by completing a pre-start checklist. This checklist must be signed by you and counter signed by the Engineering department delegate.
Your Pit Superintendent will give you instructions regarding area of responsibility for each shift.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you wear the required PPE as indicated to you during site Induction.
It is also your responsibility to report any deviations that may occur during your shift regarding safety.
You must also ensure that your area of responsibility is healthy and safe and all requirements as per mine procedure are in place. 
During maintenance and cleaning operations, you must ensure that the lockout procedure is enforced and adhered to.
It is your responsibility to ensure that there is adequate illumination for the night shifts.
Always adhere to the requirements of the applicable safe operating procedures for your task/job description or any safe work instruction given to you by your Production Manager.
You will be required to work shifts and overtime at short notice when required. It may be required that you work on off weekends and public holidays when requested by the Production Manager. 
You are required to adhere to all Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Create and maintain a safe working area for the machines and employees in your area of responsibilities.
Control pit floor condition, load & haul, haul road construction and maintenance, stockpiles and dump sites on a daily basis.
Manage Production –teams (All Operators, etc.)
Comply with all legal and charter requirements for you Production team including the condition of service cards and the pre-shift checks of the designated plant.
Report immediately any abuse of machine or damage and poor pit, haul road and dumpsite conditions.
Coordinate the use of pre shift checklists for L.D.V. or plant and their use on a daily basis.
Control access in and out of work area.
Control and monitor the quality of jobs done to prevent rework, injury, accidents or damage.
Removal of sharp rocks from pit floor or dump site to always prevent tyre cuts
Conduct a safe declaration and risk assessment before any work comment (on the main loading areas and haul roads)
Control the spot times, from the moment that the horn of the loading tool sounds, until the first load starts falling into the bin of the next truck, to 40 seconds.
Maintain proper bench heights
Achieve hourly production rates
Construct proper access to loading area

Requirements

Qualifications:

Grade 12;
Valid Pit License 
Competent “A” certificate
Blasting certificate will be (advantageous)
Mining engineering degree/diploma or surface mining will be (advantageous)

Job specific experience:

Minimum of 4 years mining experience in an open pit mining environment. 
Must be able to adapt and work effectively in a multi-disciple environment.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Binning

Ensure the binning of incoming merchandise and the replenishment of inventory from bulk to pick locations is performed as per standard operating procedures and requirements
Ensure new products are allocated with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area
Ensure bins are updated and stock allocated to new bin locations are reported to you superior and updated
Assist in replenishment functions
Ensure all incoming goods are received and checked as per company standards

Picking

Ensure picking of customer and branch orders are being picked timorously to meet order cut off times
Ensure picking from bulk locations are only done as alternative bin when stock is depleted and not replenished in the picking phase or when picking bulk orders to prevent the breakage of pack sizes
Carry out all reasonable and lawful instruction relating to work given to you by your superior
Follow all relevant procedures to increase efficient customer satisfaction
Assist in stock take procedures
Ensure housekeeping is done daily
Ensure double checks are done to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and to prevent loss of inventory
Ensure set standard operational targets are achieved consistently

 Scanner Control

Issue scanners to all operators daily.
Book out scanners on the electronic app.
Receive scanners back from operators, inspect scanner for damage and book back into stock on the electronic app.
Report any damage to the supervisor
Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet

Qualifications and Experience

Completed Grade12/ Matric 
Must be a South African Citizen
Must be between the ages of 18 and 25
Must not be registered on any YES learnership
Must not be studying at any other institution and be available immediately

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate should hold a PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Applied Mathematics or Operations Research obtained within the past five years. The candidate should not be older than 45 years at the time of application.

Job Description

Lead and manage the daily operations of a mr price money cellular store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets, innovation initiatives and customer service standards are met and exceeded.                                                              

Responsibilities
Stock Management: 

Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the store.
Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
Authorise write offs, breakages, recalls, OBF (out of box failures), cellular repairs and returns.                         

Sales Growth & Profitability: 

Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness. This may include:- In-store marketing, competitor shopping. Drive credit, Insurance, Mobile and Cellular performance to achieve the agreed budget                         

Risk Management: 

Conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO (Continuous Monitoring)  reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.                               

Custumer Experience Management: 

Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping etc.) to meet customer service standards.

Leadership & Development: 

Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Innovation: 

Ensure implementation of Innovation initiatives from Head Office (Mpos, MRP Empower, E-docs and Money Hub) to delight our customers and improve in-store processes in a more efficient manner.

Assist to oversee the fraud hotline  and the timely reporting

Combined Assurance

Assist to put in place systems to implement the combined assurance model for Necsa
Support the implementation of combined assurance process and report timeously to the relevant structures.

Risk Reporting

Prepare and submit risk management reports for:

DMRE report
Audit & Risk Committee Report
EXCO Risk Management Committee report

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

B Degree Internal Audit/Risk Management and or other relevant three year tertiary qualification
Internal Audit or Risk Management related accreditation.
Honours Degree Internal Audit/Risk Management will be an added advantage
5-10 years Risk Management/ Internal Auditing in a large organisation with at least 3 years in a management position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Financial Planning and Budgeting

Assist the OU manager with the preparation and input of the annual budget on OU level.
Assist the project manager in the OU with the preparation of project budgets, including the adherence to the NWU financial policy and guidelines.

Compile the monthly variance report and discuss the OU’s financial results with OU managers.

Assist with the initiating of the following e-docs on KFS: GEC, TF, DI and RJV.

Adhoc assignments

Financial Planning office administration.
Personal development.
Assist with or prepare training material and assist with or present training workshops.
Delivering of other financial planning and management tasks from time to time in coordination with the relevant Senior Accountant or Faculty Manager of Financial Planning.

Minimum requirements

A B.Com degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting 1 and/or Management Accounting 1.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a financial environment.
Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

ADDED ADVANTAGES:

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on an ERP system (e.g Oracle, KFS).
Exposure to budgeting, reporting and analytical reviewing.
