    Main Purpose of Job

    People Support

    Maintain relevant employee information and personnel records (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Financial

    Oversee daily Financial operations in various international entities
    Process transactions accurately on Sage
    Assist on Payroll payment runs and associated payroll taxes
    Perform salary control account reconciliations
    Ensure all statutory requirements are met on time
    Maintain the International filing system for all statutory submissions
    Initiate ad hoc payments on the banking platform
    Review all payments
    Maintain intercompany balances
    Balance sheet reconciliations
    Monthly bank reconciliations and comparison of bank statement to bank GL
    Reconciliation of Foreign Exchange gains and losses
    Conclude and perform month end procedures for reporting
    Perform ad hoc reconciliations as and when required
    Assist International and Regional Finance departments as required

    Cost Control

    Allocate expenditure to the correct cost centers
    Perform creditors reconciliations monthly
    Processing of Creditor Invoices and Payments
    Analyse TB and identify trends, misallocations or missing costs
    Investigate and implement cost saving initiatives

    Asset Register

    Maintenance and physical verification of asset register to reconcile physical assets against register.
    Process depreciation and amortisation monthly
    Reconcile Sage vs asset register
    Ensure all additions and disposals accounted for correctly and required documentation obtained

    Audits

    Facilitates the auditing process (internal & external) by supplying information to external auditors according to organisational requirements
    Provide feedback on queries timeously

    Qualification Requirements:

    Grade 12 or Equivalent
    A Bachelor of Commerce Degree
    A Postgraduate Finance qualification or studying towards will be advantageous

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    4 years’ accounting experience
    Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
    Ability to work under immense pressure
    Computer literate in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
    Sage experience would be advantageous
    High level of Integrity
    Problem solving and solution implementation
    Excellent interpersonal skills
    Initiative-taking and enthusiastic

    Requirements

     Qualifications and experience

    Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    8+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or related fields, with demonstrable leadership experience.
    Proven track record of AI/ML delivery at scale in enterprise environments, ideally within the telecommunications sector.
    Deep understanding of cloud data platforms, AI/ML technologies, and data lifecycle management.
    Experience in managing or growing technical teams.
