    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Agri Digital Lending Specialist to support a leading mobile money and digital finance platform in Tanzania. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and managing digital lending products tailored to the agricultural sector , with the goal of improving access to financial services for farmers, agri-SMEs, and value chain participants.
    This position plays a key role in:

    Designing innovative digital loan products that meet the needs of smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses
    Collaborating with financial institutions, agritech firms, and microfinance organizations to expand digital lending reach
    Conducting market research and customer behavior analysis to inform product development and performance improvement
    Ensuring all digital lending initiatives comply with regulatory standards and internal policies

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Product Development & Execution

    Develop, execute, and manage the adoption strategy for agricultural digital lending products
    Design products based on sector research, business case development, and user insights
    Ensure penetration across different agricultural value chains including smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses
    Provide analytical insights and reports on product performance to guide strategic decisions

    2. Product Roadmap & Innovation

    Innovate and develop new Agri Digital Loan products aligned with market demands and digital lending ambitions
    Continuously review and enhance current loan offerings to improve customer experience and profitability
    Drive product enhancements as part of the strategic roadmap

    3. Stakeholder Engagement

    Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, agritech companies, cooperatives, and other stakeholders
    Support the Lending Manager in business negotiations to achieve organizational goals
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product rollout and client engagement

    4. Business Intelligence & Market Insights

    Analyze customer behavior and loan performance data to provide actionable insights
    Conduct field surveys and market research to understand financing needs and gaps
    Develop customer engagement strategies to increase awareness and usage of digital lending products
    Integrate with Customer Value Management (CVM) platforms to enhance targeting and product usage
    Deliver timely market intelligence and competitor feedback

    5. Compliance & Risk Management

    Ensure all digital lending products align with regulatory frameworks governing agricultural finance and digital lending
    Monitor and implement updates based on financial service regulations
    Support risk compliance and regulatory approvals for new and existing products

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Business Administration , or a related field
    Master’s degree preferred

    Experience:

    Minimum 3 years of experience in digital lending, agricultural finance, fintech, or mobile financial services
    Proven experience working with digital platforms, credit risk models , and mobile money ecosystems
    Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, Agri-Tech firms, and cooperatives
    Strong knowledge of local markets and customer needs in rural and semi-urban areas
    Familiarity with mobile money systems, Fintech platforms, and digital credit tools

    Principle Responsibilities

    1. Value Chain Management

    Qualifications Required

    MAIN PURPOSE
    Coordinating and controlling the operation of vehicles in one location according to traffic regulations and MSF security rules and ensuring that the team of drivers perform properly their duties to ensure an adequate, efficient and safe transport of goods and people
    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    ACCOUNTABILITIES
     
    o    Supervising materials and goods orders and dispatch in order to ensure its rational use.
    o    Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying and reporting potential discrepancies against cargo manifest or others. Stores materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability.
    o    Updating and/or creating stock cards for all stock items immediately after reception of goods. Checking the received cold boxes and controlling the cold chain-monitoring card
    o    Storing materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organised and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).
    o    Monitoring the store temperature and ensuring Cold Chain items are stored in an adequate temperature. Keeping a special control of “sensitive” goods: numbers of lots, expiry dates, packaging and special storage conditions
    o    Preparing orders on time before sending goods, and packs (according to transport means) weighs and labels freight with corresponding shipping number, destination, number of shipping units, way bill number, weight and mode of transport in accordance with the line manager’s instructions
    o    In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined. Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out and expiry dates.
    o    Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse
    o    Assisting the line manager with preparation of the stock reports

    MAIN PURPOSE
    Execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, cleaning and tiding up activities in order to ensure public and staff private areas are in good condition.
    ACCOUNTABILITIES
    o    Thorough cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF premises – Office, warehouse and guesthouse.

    MSF Liwale has 4 premises – Office, Warehouse and Guesthouse:
    o    Flexibility required to work at any of the three premises as assigned by supervisor
    o    Adhere to a rotation schedule as established by the supervisor, working at any premise as required during working hours
    MSF has been working intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting MOH in a variety of areas, notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics such as cholera, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. MSF’s latest intervention in the country started in May 2015 with an emergency response to a cholera outbreak affecting both the refugee and the host populations in Kigoma region. During the emergency phase MSF expanded medical and water/sanitation activities to all three refugee camps in the region.
    Liwale project officially launched in December 2022, Liwale project is an integrated project supporting MoH in Community based, Primary and Secondary health care for mother and child under 5. MSF is currently supporting 7 health facilities including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital, 3 health centres) where CEmONC are offered and 3 primary health care where BEmONC are offered. This support includes facilitation for recruitment of 102 health care workers including 50 community health care workers, medical supply, empowerment of team (trainings, team management, quality of care improvement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations.
     
    Minimum Educational Qualification:
    o    Desirable secondary education

    Key outputsGuided by prevailing rules and regulatory requirements, to carry out the following responsibilities:

    Provide legal advice and support on various matters related to legal and statutory requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the bank’s interests and mitigate legal risks.

    Represent the bank in legal proceedings, including court cases, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution mechanisms.

    Monitor and ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, advising management on compliance matters.

    Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and practices, ensuring alignment with legal standards.

    Maintain and manage legal documents, records, and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

    The candidate
    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree from a recognized university.

    Must be a registered advocate and a member of the Tanganyika Law Society or equivalent legal body.

    Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

    Strong understanding of banking laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

    Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

    Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
