    INTERNAL AUDITOR (X1)

    Reporting to: The Principal
    Key responsibilities

    Undertakes effectively the review of governance processes in order to ensure their effectiveness.
    Undertakes effectively, the review of risk management processes in the Institution in order to ascertain their effectiveness.
    Undertakes effectively, the conduct of audits on Information Systems in order to identify risks and facilitate decision making.
    Undertakes effectively, the conduct of compliance audits in order to foster adherence to legislation, policies, guidelines and regulations.
    Undertakes timely, the production of internal audit and management reports in order to facilitate informed decision making.
    Undertakes effectively, the maintenance of internal audit database in order to facilitate tracking of audit recommendations for informed decision making.
    Perform any other duties related to audits

     
    Qualifications and Requirements

    Full Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.
    Minimum of Diploma in Accountancy/Auditing, ZICA – Licentiate or equivalent.
    Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in auditing or related field.
    Knowledge of audit procedures, risk management, and internal control systems.
    Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
    High level of integrity and confidentiality.
     Computer literacy and proficiency in accounting/audit software.
    Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Zambia

    Job description:

    Purpose
     
    To gather and interpret geological data about the Kansanshi copper deposit for the purpose of increasing understanding through RC drilling operations.
    Key Responsibilities
    The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
     
    RC Grade Control Program

    Implementation, interpretation and reporting of RC drilling activities.
    Coordinate sampling and compliance to protocols.
    Geological chip logging, QA/QC, data collection and management for RC drilling activities.
    Supervision of field assistants, technicians and team leaders.
    Supervision of drilling contractor.
    Daily and monthly reporting.
    Undertaking in geological project work related to RC drilling activities as directed by the Senior Mine Geologist.
    A strong commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
    Manage RC drilling programmes that will delineate an array of complex geological features in the Kansanshi deposit.
    Liaise with Senior mine geologist to evaluate current drill pattern design and ensure they remain practical, given increased geological knowledge and changes to ore domains in the deposit.
    Ensure all drilling and sampling works are carried out in the safest possible manner.
    Manage the drilling contractors and ensure drilling contractor (s) conform to quality and safety, standards as stipulated in the drilling contract.
    Manage the flow of sample data from the pit through to the lab and into the database.
    Liaise with the data base administrator to ensure that data is accurate and stored securely.
    Coordinate QA/QC programs, highlight and resolve accuracy and precision issues with the onsite laboratory.
    Continued development of global best practice sampling standards and procedure.
    Other duties as directed by the Senior Mine Geologist.

     
    Production

    Verification/validation of grade control ore mark outs in the field.
    Liaise with Shift Engineers/Plant to ensure ore quality parameters are being achieved, recoveries are within stipulated boundaries and optimum ore blending strategies are being achieved.
    Manage a large team of field technicians.
    Monitor ROM and Long-term stockpile inventories.
    Daily and end of month reporting.

    Qualifications

    Minimum of a Full Grade 12 certificate
    Bachelor of Science (Geology) or Bachelor’s degree plus Honours in Geology, Mining Geology or equivalent

    Experience
     

    A minimum of 2 – 5 years relevant experience in grade control and production Geology.

    Ability to work and effectively communicate with various levels of management and Mines Safety Department personnel.
    Firm understanding of geological systems and processes and how they integrate with mining production and mineral resource management; grade control experience is a must.
    Good working knowledge of technical software (Surpac, Datamine or Mapinfo/ Leap Frog 3D).
    Knowledge of LIMS systems would be advantageous.
    Strong verbal and written  communication skills in English.
    An eye for detail and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
    Able to work in a dynamic team environment.
    Methodical approach to everyday tasks and problem solving.

    JOB PURPOSE
    The Registrar shall serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the ZIP Secretariat and shall oversee the day-to-day operations of the Institute in accordance with the Urban and Regional Planners Act of 2011 and the ZIP Constitution.
    The role includes management of membership registration, stakeholder engagement, strategic institutional development, governance support, fundraising, organisational management, and provision of secretariat services to all Council meetings and other organs of the Institute.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Registration of planners, planning firms, educational institutions, planning units, and students.
    Issuance of registration certificates and practising licences.
    Maintenance and upgrading of the membership database and institutional records.
    Development and implementation of membership retention initiatives.

    Serving as Secretariat to all Council meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and institutional committees including preparation and circulation of agendas, reports, and minutes.
    Enhancing the visibility and public profile of the Institute through strategic  communication, media engagement, and social media management.
    Mobilising resources and leading institutional fundraising initiatives.
    Coordinating preparation of strategic plans, annual work plans, budgets, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and performance management systems.
    Overseeing institutional operations, staff supervision, policy development, and implementation of organisational procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Registered Member of the Zambia Institute of Planners.
    Bachelor’s Degree in Spatial, Social, Economic, Environmental Planning, or related Social Sciences.
    A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
    Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
    Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in a planning-related field in Zambia.
    Valid driver’s license.
