  • Accountant – Payables at Aller-Aqua Zambia Limited

    JOB PURPOSE:
    The Accountant – Payables is responsibility for ensuring business transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the ERP, stakeholder payments and receipts are processed promptly, payables reconciliations are performed accurately.
    The role reports to the Accounting Manager and will be based at the Aller Aqua Zambia Factory, in Siavonga.
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Ensure that payables accounts are reconciled weekly.
    Review and verify supplier invoices
    Track payments and investigate outstanding payments.
    Ensure the work is executed in accordance with accounting principles, policies and processes regulated by IAS/IFRS (Accounting standards).
    Ensure supplier payments are processed within agreed terms.
    Ensure payment vouchers are signed and authorized by supervisor and authorized signatories.
    Ensure month-end close journals/postings are correct and on time. These include; prepayments, revaluations and currency fluctuations.
    Ensure that all proof of payments are sent to beneficiaries.
    Resolve problems concerning all payables accounts
    Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of ad hoc reports.
    Ensure proper accounting records are kept for all payments and invoices.
    Ensure accurate and timely preparation of the Net Working Capital report for on-ward circulation to Senior Management is done.
    Other duties as assigned.

     
    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
    Bachelor’s degree plus final/studying ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA, or a full professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA.
    Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
    Familiarity with Zambian tax regulations, IFRS, and feed production cost structures.
    Excellent knowledge of accounting packages
    Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.

    Perform key warehouse management functions.
    Supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of soya beans, maize, and other agricultural traded commodities.
    Oversee the accurate raising of Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and Delivery Notes (DNs).
    Ensure proper stacking and storage of commodities to prevent damage and maintain quality.
    Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements, and warehouse operations.
    Implement and enforce warehouse safety and security procedures.
    Collaborate with other PCZ staff members to ensure optimization or seamless operations.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    A Grade 12 certificate with a minimum of diploma or Certificate in a relevant field (Agriculture, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management).
    Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in a busy warehouse, preferably dealing with maize, soya beans, and other agricultural traded commodities.
    Should possess knowledge in agro-chemicals, fertilizers, soya beans and maize, including their handling, storage, and quality control.
    Past experience in raising GRNs and DNs.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Electrical Machine Rewinder at Two Six Zero Brands Africa

    The Electrical Machine Reminder shall report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and will support the maintenance department by Rewinding of Equipment such as Motors and Generators and servicing and maintenance of various tools and equipment used in the rewinding process.
    Key Responsibilities

    Taking steps to disassemble motors, remove stators, rotors damaged coils and components in preparation for cleaning and rewinding
    Troubleshooting defective motors to identify the cause of the problem determine requirements for suitable spare parts, and finding ways to minimize the chances of failure in the future.
    Maintaining records of repair works carried out on all motors, and keep records of material used for each repaired motor against its serial number.
    Prepare stator core for winding by cleaning out remnants of the damaged coils and carbonized material and any other debris
    Make winding terminations onto terminal block.
    Carry out insulation by varnishing and dipping of the wound motor;
    Test the reassembled motor to check the quality and condition of the coils and ensure that repairs were successful; and perform final inspections and test runs
    Maintain the work area and rewind machines in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed policies and safety regulations.
