    About the role:
    We are looking for Lasting and Finishing Machine Operators (30) who will be responsible for operating and maintaining automated machines used in the molding, lasting, forming, and assembly process, including shaping of shoes on lasts, attaching soles, fitting eyelets, and finishing tasks. The selected Operators will attend a short course on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Set up and operate automated machinery used for forming and assembling of leather shoes.
    Place sewn leather uppers onto lasts, ensuring they are correctly aligned and shaped according to design specifications.
    Operate machinery to apply adhesive and attach soles to the shaped uppers.
    Use specialized machines to install eyelets accurately.
    Inspect shoes throughout the forming and assembly process to ensure they meet quality standards; make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired result.
    Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery.
    Identify and resolve issues related to machinery, materials, or the assembly process.
    Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
    Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the forming and assembly process

    Qualifications:

    At least 2-4 years of experience in the operation of automated or manual industrial machinery in footwear or leather products.
    Strong understanding of the shoes’ lasting and assembly process, including machine operation, material handling, and finishing techniques.
    Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and process issues.
    Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
    Technical training in machine operation or a related field is preferred.

    We are seeking warehouse workers (20) who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including handling raw materials, spare parts, consumables, semi-finished, and finished products.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in the receiving and unloading of materials and products delivered to the warehouse.
    Verify the accuracy of shipments, check for damages, and report any discrepancies to the warehouse manager
    Safely move materials to the appropriate storage areas.
    Pick and pack materials and finished products according to order specifications.
    Prepare items for shipment, ensuring they are securely packaged and correctly labelled.
    Assist in loading products onto delivery vehicles.
    Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products as needed.
    Follow safety protocols when operating machinery and handling heavy items.
    Use warehouse management software to record stock movements and update inventory levels.
    Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.

    Basic computer skills for using warehouse software.
    Familiarity with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is an advantage.

    CCDA is looking for five (5) Data Collectors with a professional background in gathering data from various sources to support research, analysis and decision-making processes.     VOLUNTEER (PROCUREMENT)
    INFORMATION ABOUT THE POSITION:
    The Volunteer (Procurement) role is designed to support CCDA’s procurement function and is essential in complimenting existing human resource capacity in the unit to ensure timely and fully compliant procurement processes are achieved. The role is part of the operations and administrative unit and will interact with key programme staff to understand their respective procurement needs and support.     KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Review all purchase requisitions and confirm budget availability with end users prior to procurement commencement

    3. Following approval of selected bidder, facilitate preparation of local purchase orders
    4. Managing communication with vendors
    5. Ensure procurement documentation is complete and attached invoices and Good received notes are verified and submitted to finance for payment
    6. Filling in and updating the procurement tracker every two weeks
    7. Support to filing all completed procurement information
    8. Proactively assist in ensuring routine payment for services such as insurance, security, and internet are processed in a timely manner.
    9. Maintain effective communication with staff internally on progress of all procurements and address any existing challenges
