    Reporting breakdowns to the workshop.

    Tracking fitments and administrative duties

    Daily compilation and submission of work completed/integrated work orders to management

    Customer liaison

    Branches support and head office administration support

    Daily fleet inspections (Trucks and skips)

     
     
    Requirements and skills
     
     

    At least three years’ relevant professional experience.

    Relevant diploma (Environmental Science & / IT) from an accredited tertiary institution.

    Knowledgeable in waste management practices & procedures.

    IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    Class B drivers’ license or better.

    Self-driven with a solution-orientated approach

    Strong team player

    People management experience or qualification

    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

    CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION (C&I) ENGINEER
     
     
    BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    The Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer will use their design, maintenance and operations experience to review and/or generate designs, provide technical input and guidance and undertake inspections to ensure works performed by consultants and contractors are in accordance with the scope of the project and to ensure the works are designed to MMG-Khoemacau Botswana and international standards and regulatory requirements.
    The position holder will also use their experience in planning, executing, monitoring and coordinating the cost-effective maintenance activities for instrumentation field and control equipment and services to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability is incorporated into the design and installation of the project works. Additionally, the incumbent will work in multidisciplinary teams to collaborate with professionals from other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of control and instrumentation across all areas of the project.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
     
     
    Key accountabilities include:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Bachelor’s of Engineering (Electrical) – with specialisation in instrumentation and control.• Qualifications in Project Management will be highly regarded.• A minimum of 8 years post qualification experience in process control, with at least 5 years as C & I Foreman/Supervisor/Superintendent in a heavy mining process plant control and instrumentation maintenance environment.• Experience with DCS and various plant PLC’s and drives.• Construction experience in electrical and/or instrumentation and control installations.• Thorough knowledge of MQW&M.• Thorough knowledge of Control and Instrumentation installation systems.• Process Control and instrumentation skills.• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming skills.• Supervisory Control and Data acquisition (SCADA) Configuration skills particularly Citect SCADA.• Network skills including Ethernet, Profinet/Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP.• Motor automation and control including electronic motor protection.• Electronic feeder and transformer unit protection.

    COST CONTROLLER
     
     
    BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    The purpose of this role is to ensure that the MMG-Khoemacau Expansion project is delivered on budget, perform cost control functions which include cost estimating and budgeting, cost control, cash out tracking and monitoring, cost forecasting and analysis, change management, cash call and reporting.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
     
     
    Your key accountabilities include:
     
    Participating and assisting in developing detailed and accurate project budgets.• Establishing the project cost baseline and obtaining approval and endorsement from the project management team.• Implementing a cost control system to regularly (e.g., weekly/monthly) tracking and recording all actual project costs.• Accurately comparing actual costs against budgets and forecasts.• Analysing cost variances, investigating the reasons for deviations, and providing clear analysis to the project management team.• Regularly updating the Estimate at Completion (EAC) based on project progress and trends, collaborating with all stakeholders.• Forecasting potential future cost overrun risks and issuing early warnings.• Preparing and submitting cost reports, dashboards, and presentations regularly, (e.g., weekly/monthly) to clearly communicate the project’s financial status to the project management team.• Maintaining close communication with the project management team, finance, procurement, and engineers to ensure the accuracy and consistency of cost information.• Assessing the cost impact of project change requests and assisting in adjusting budgets for changes.• Ensuring all changes are formally approved and reflected in the updated budget pool.• Participating in improving cost control processes, tools, and templates to enhance the efficiency of cost management across the project team.• Being visible in the field, conducting frequent interactions with operations teams/contractors to understand work being done, and identifying opportunities to improve.• Always demonstrating safe behaviour and complying with the site’s standards and procedures in SHEC.• Promoting awareness of SHEC practices and imbedding a safety culture.• Demonstrating effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals that support the department site and company standards.• Reporting all SHEC incidents.• Demonstrating leadership in SHEC through personal behaviours and conversations.
     
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Chinese and English language ability to work under multi-culture environment.• PMP certificate or equivalent.• At least 5 years of experience in project cost control within energy industrial projects, experience in Mining industry or Concentrator Project is preferable.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced charts) for data analysis and modeling.• Experience of using ECOSYS, SAP or similar software or platforms on project execution.• Experience with cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management including reporting.• Experience with cost control and best practice on capital power projects.• In-depth understanding of project management and cost control principles, methods, and best practices (e.g., Earned Value Management – EVM).• Experience with specialized project management/cost control software (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project, Power BI).• On site experience in the countries in Southern Africa is preferable.

    AREA LEAD

    The Area Lead will monitor, and control quality and adequacy of the design prepared within the functional discipline. This includes reviewing data for validity, directing optimization and technical studies, verifying design documents and specifications, and providing support and clarification in the discipline/area of operation.     BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    The Project Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects that support mining operations. This role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders to achieve project objectives efficiently and safely.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
     
     
    Your key accountabilities include:
     
    Assisting in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with mining operation goals and regulatory requirements.• Coordinating project activities, resources, and information to ensure seamless execution and adherence to timelines, minimizing disruption to mining operations.• Acting as a liaison between project teams, management, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, schedules, contracts, and meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.• Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards and mining regulations.• Identifying potential project risks and assisting in developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on mining operations.• Tracking project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting issues arising and/or delays.• Providing administrative and logistical support to project teams, including organizing meetings, coordinating resources, and managing project logistics.
     
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Bachelor’s degree with majors in Electronic Information Engineering, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project coordination with previous project management or similar experience in the mining industry.• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.• Chinese and English language ability to work under multi-culture environment.• Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong understanding of mining operations and infrastructure requirements.• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment and able to coordinate multi-disciplined teams.• Highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.• Ability to draft overview reports to reflect project status, key issues to stakeholders.• Assisting in monitoring the project progress and coordinating all team members to keep workflow on track.• Identifying key issues during the project execution process and playing a Managerial role.• Managing and maintaining risk registers, updating new risks identified by project team members timely, and conducting regular risk update meetings to discuss the extent of risks present in the project and control methods with each area.

    FILTER PLANT SUPERINTENDENT
     
     
    BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    This role is required to provide commissioning supervision on the new tailings Filter Plant as well as operational oversight for the post commissioning phase. The Filter Plant Superintendent oversees the commissioning, operation and maintenance of the tailings Filter Plant and associated ancillaries, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant tailings dewatering management aligned with metallurgical and pastefill requirements. This role integrates process engineering, maintenance coordination, legal compliance, and stakeholder engagement to optimize tailings filtration, water recovery, and filter cake deposition onto stockpiles for haulage to Zone 5.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
     
     
    Your key accountabilities include:
     
    Overseeing commissioning as part of the owner’s team for the thickening and filtration of the tailings filter plant.• Managing Technical Queries (TQs) and driving Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) throughout commissioning.• Developing and implementing commissioning plans.• Overseeing site testing and validation of equipment.• Overseeing plant start-up, ramp-up and transitioning to steady state.• Tracking and driving progress against the project schedule to meet key milestones.• Coordination of interfaces with OEM’s, the project and operational management teams, to ensure technical alignment.• Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture on-site to support a safe work environment.• Identifying anomalies and initiating corrective actions to prevent failures and maintain final product quality.• Managing contractor services and performance for all filter plant related activities to uphold quality and safety.• Planning and overseeing tailings filtration related projects, ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.• Initiating special projects based on operational assessments to drive improvements and innovation.• Contributing to CAPEX and OPEX budgeting and championing cost-saving initiatives for facility optimization.• Supporting optimal equipment utilization and enhancing plant efficiency through proactive operational oversight.• Tracking the overall risk log for the commissioning and transitioning process to ensure requisite controls remain in place to contain identified risks.• Document Control in terms of commissioning/operational process status.• Monitoring and reporting KPIs—such as water balance, infrastructure availability, and plant efficiency—to ensure optimal performance and proactive risk management.• Maintaining comprehensive records of spares, consumables, and maintenance activities to support accountability and operational readiness.• Reviewing and validating operational data for accuracy and compliance, ensuring integrity in reporting and adherence to standards.• Contributing to production reports and supporting incident documentation to maintain transparency and facilitate continuous improvement.• Facilitating the training and development of tailings filter plant personnel to enhance operational competence and safety awareness.• Ensuring staff comprehension and adherence to relevant acts, regulations, and company policies to maintain compliance and operational integrity.• Overseeing commissioning contract delivery in terms of the SHEC file stipulations for the tailings Filter Plant.• Enforcing the Fatal Risk safety protocol during the commissioning and operational phase of the tailings filtration plant.• Enforcing both the Safety and Environmental management frameworks.
     
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.• Must have experience in overseeing commissioning and operational ramp-up scope of the tailings filtration plant as part of the owner’s team.• Demonstrated experience in Managing Technical Queries (TQs) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).• Must have at least 10 years exposure to commissioning/ operation/maintenance of horizontal membrane press filters, with 5 of those years at senior level.• Full commissioning of a Metso Larox FFP 3512 unit with the following specifications:o filtration area of 1153 m2,o plate sizes 3500mm x 2500mm,o up to 98 chambers.o throughput of 374t (dry)/hr.• Review of payment claims and managing variations.• Tracking and driving progress against the commissioning schedule.• Conduct daily reporting, progress monitoring, and escalate issues to MMG Management as required.

    BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    The HSE Superintendent will be responsible for the overall HSE management of KCM expansion project to achieve the safety target, to establish an efficient HSE team to serve KCM expansion project management team and contractors, plan and implement the HSE standard and procedure, coordinate the HSE training, equipment & LV inspection and emergency response, investigate incident and ensure the prevention action to be taken, coordinate the security management for KCM expansion project.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
     
     
    Key accountabilities include:
     
    Plan, develop and implement fit for purpose Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems that ensure that effective controls are in place.• Develop monitoring systems and processes to ensure that any Health, Safety and Environmental non-compliance is identified and rectified in a timely manner.• Develop, evaluate and continuously monitor emergency preparedness to ensure adequate response capability is maintained.• Ensures compliance with MMG policies and practices.     The Logistics Lead will be responsible for the MMG-Khoemacau Expansion project logistics and transportation of equipment, materials and the management of customs clearance processes.
     
     
    MAJOR DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
     
     
    Key accountabilities include:
     
    Managing and guiding the specific work of logistics specialists, formulating and revising the management system and work process of import and export declaration, storage and transportation, document preparation, insurance and other work processes of project materials, as well as supervising and inspecting the implementation of the system process.• Organising the bidding of logistics and transportation providers, formulating bidding strategies, preparing bidding documents, and improving bid evaluation reports.• Managing and coordinating the related work of logistics service providers, promoting the simplification and standardization of processes, and improving the accuracy and efficiency of logistics.• Working with logistics service providers to develop and implement the specific transportation work plan of MMG – Khoemacau equipment and material packages, monitoring the implementation of the plan, and dynamically tracking the logistics and transportation situation.• Managing and guiding the specific work of the customs clearance specialist, responsible for managing the application and implementation of the tax exemption list of projects materials and approving the relevant documents of customs declaration and clearance.• Regularly summarising business work such as transportation as well as be responsible for managing the control and archiving of relevant documents with relevant support departments.• Managing the training, career development and value realization of the MMG KSV team for the transportation/customs clearance team.
     
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering management, international trade, transportation and logistics management and other related majors.• CET-6 and above are preferred.• Must have an International Logistics Vocational Qualification Certification (ILT) and Logistics Vocational Qualification Certification.• At least 5 years of logistics management experience in mining companies or other related fields and understanding of logistics business processes in Botswana is preferred.• International resident work experience is preferred.

    VENTILATION OFFICER
     
     
    BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
     
     
    The primary role of the Ventilation Officer is to ensure the effective design, implementation, and maintenance of ventilation systems to safeguard the health and safety of underground mine personnel in an underground mining operation.
     
     
    CORE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
     
    Performing a variety of ventilation-related measurements and surveys, underground and on the surface.• Interpreting results of surveys and having the capability of taking immediate and post measurements actions where required.• Monitoring and analysing the performance of the existing ventilation systems.• Overseeing and reporting on assessments and construction works.• Ensuring that the airflow is sufficient to dilute and remove contaminants, such as dust, gases, and fumes, from the working areas.• Collecting data on air quality, temperature, humidity, and gas levels within the mine.• Analysing data to identify trends and potential issues in the ventilation systems.• Ensuring that the mine’s ventilations system compiles with safety and environmental regulations.• Staying updated on the relevant industry standards and guidelines.
     
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
     
     
    Diploma in Mining Engineering.• Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.• Applicant must have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in an underground mining environment.• Ability to work underground in difficult conditions for extended periods.• Ability to work productively independently and as part of a team as well as to work across all levels of the organisation.
