    Requirements

     Relevant tertiary qualification

     At least 2 years’ working experience in Proofreading and Editing (translating English and Afrikaans)
     Experience in and knowledge of Adobe InDesign (will be advantageous)

    More about the role:

    Overall analytical support across the Credit Operations space.
    Running existing report to be used in executive information packs.
    Assisting operational departments with operational reporting.
    Monitoring key metrics and interpreting findings.
    Assist with the review and enhancement of the collection efforts and reporting.
    Assist with and maintain strategies for early and late-stage collections that ensure that operations department focus on the correct delinquent accounts.
    Maintain and update forecast models for future collections, PTPs, and recoveries.
    Use data-oriented approach to work with others in solving complex business problems around profitability, marketing, risk, and operational analysis.
    Design experiments and use various test and control strategies for credit operations, analyse results, and build predictive models to forecast future outcomes.
    Perform data-oriented ‘what if’ and ‘ad-hoc’ analysis to support business strategy optimization in credit operations.
    Assists Head of Credit Ops and Collections functions on key projects.

    More about you:

    Numerate degree (BSc, BCom, B Bus Sci, B Eng.)
    Would benefit from courses in advanced mathematics, computer programming, economics, and operations research.
    Minimum of 3 years’ working experience as an analyst
    Working knowledge and exposure to processes such as banking or retail credit
    Advanced computer literacy skills with a high proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Python or SAS

    Key Responsibilities

    Ensure all purchase invoices match to delivery notes/GRN’s and are authorized as per approval limits policy
    Investigate variances between GRN’s and purchase invoices and ask approver to sign off on difference
    Prepare payment batches ensuring that accounts payable are completely captured
    Maintain supplier accounts and ensure invoices are processed to the correct GL accounts
    Reconcile GRN’s control account and prepare GRN report according to agreed format
    Keep total list of creditors up to date
