    Job Description:

    Facilitate quality information generation from smallholder farmers on agroforestry practices and biodiversity conservation and restoration shared with policy and decision makers at local, national, regional and international levels.
    Facilitate formation of strong platforms for advocating on smallholder farmers policies and concerns at local, national and regional levels and manage their operationalization.
    Facilitate routine dialogue of the high-level platforms for policy and decision makers on issues related to agroforestry; food security; climate change adaptation, mitigation, resilience and conservation of biodiversity.
    Engage policy and decision makers for integration of Agroforestry interventions into districts and sectoral plans and budgets.
    To facilitate annual sectoral budget analysis and advocacy for responsible sectoral ministries, departments and district councils for Increased budget allocation for agroforestry practices and sustainable agriculture land management as stipulated in the International, regional and national strategies and conventions.
    To facilitate analysis of Agroforestry sectoral policies, plans and strategies to generate evidence for advocacy purposes.
    To capacitate and guide ASILI B technical and core partners on budget and policy advocacy engagements with policy and decision-makers.
    To support smallholder farmers and partners in monitoring of public resource allocation and spending at council and community levels.
    To facilitate development of policy briefs for communicating the policy evidence generated to various Agroforestry partners and stakeholders.
    To prepare activity, quarterly and annual implementation reports.
    To perform any other duties related to advancement of Agroforestry policy environment in Tanzania.

     

    3. Qualification & Experience Required:

    University Degree specifically form Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Agribusiness, Agriculture general, Forestry or any other related qualification.
    At least 2 years’ experience in the areas of Governance, accountability, policy analysis, budget analysis and policy advocacy.
    Experience in engagement with policy and decision makers, duty bearers and Government leaders at local and national levels.
    Skills and strong competence in facilitation, training, moderation and organization.
    Strong and good experience in report writing particularly policy and budget briefs.
    Experience in working for Agriculture policies, farmers and local Government will be an added advantage.
    Proven ICT skills and experience especially in the development of MIS software and tools for data collection and analysis;
    Fluency in written and spoken English.

    INTRODUCTION

Since 2015, HAT has implemented inclusive humanitarian programmes in refugee camps and host communities, focusing on protection, assistance, and dignity for older people and people with disabilities.
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB
    The Senior Protection and Inclusion Officer (SPIO) is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, management, and administration of HelpAge Tanzania’s inclusive humanitarian and protection programmes in refugee camps and host communities in Kigoma Region.
    The post holder will provide strategic leadership on protection and inclusion of People with Specific Needs (PSNs), particularly older people and persons with disabilities, and will actively engage national and international humanitarian actors to strengthen inclusive humanitarian responses. The SPIO will also build the capacity of national staff and local implementing partners to ensure sustainability of inclusive humanitarian programming.
    The SPIO is a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will participate actively in management, strategic planning, and organisational decision-making processes.
    SCOPE OF THE ROLE
    The position is based in Kigoma Region and has overall responsibility for managing the HAT field office and overseeing the Inclusive Humanitarian Programme implemented in refugee camps and host communities.
    The post holder will:

    Lead the design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian and protection projects
    Provide timely and high-quality donor and internal reports in line with HAT standards

    Purpose of the Role

    The Health and Care Programme Manager provides strategic leadership, technical oversight, and overall management of HAT’s Health and Care portfolio. The role ensures high-quality, inclusive, and person-centred health and care programming for older women and men and persons with disabilities, in line with HAT’s policies, values, and strategic frameworks.
    The postholder is responsible for effective programme design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and compliance with donor requirements. The role is a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) in Tanzania and contributes to organisational strategy, advocacy, and resource mobilisation.
     

    Scope of the Role

    The position is based in Dar es Salaam, with frequent travel within Tanzania and occasional international travel.
    The Health and Care Programme Manager will:

    Provide strategic leadership to HAT’s Health and Care programmes across development, humanitarian, and nexus contexts

    Main Responsibilities

    Preparing orders of the different consumption units (departments, wards, others), ensuring proper packaging and dispatching and reporting any anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to the Pharmacy Supervisor. Informing Pharmacy Supervisor as soon as stock reaches alert limit
    Controlling warehouse facilities in order to ensure materials are kept in good keeping conditions, it includes:
    e.g. Monitoring temperature in the warehouse and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored and transports received, stored, and prepared and transported appropriately according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols.
    Ensuring cleanliness of premises (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the logistics department, maintaining refrigerating equipment.
    Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regards to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.
    Ensuring that items to be quarantined (on-going quality alerts) or to be placed in quarantine zone (batch recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked.
    Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months. Preparing reports and passing it to the supervisor.

    Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies of BGML, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines

    Determine the appropriate test procedure(s) for various pieces of equipment.
    Enter equipment nameplate and bearing information into system.
    Monitors equipment used in Mining industry both Fixed and mobile equipment.
    Ability to use various Monitoring equipment including computerized vibration data collector thermography camera, sound analyser, ultrasonic thickness gauge etc.
    Ability to perform inspection of components using MPI, LPI and Ultrasonic Flaw detection.

    1. Job Summary – Purpose
    The position is responsible for monitoring and measuring the impact of programs and activities; communicating M&E information, development of monitoring tools, data surveys; collection, analysis and interpretation, structured data manipulation, coordination and follow-up on all field monitoring and evaluation activities, and reporting.

    R1. Management of Monitoring and Evaluation Initiatives

    T1. Implementation and review of work-plans for M&E.
    T2. Development and implementation of M&E framework, systems, structures and procedures (e.g. logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart and M&E manuals).
    T3. Conduct baseline surveys, evaluations and studies as designed in program implementation framework for HiHEA (TZ).
    T4. Undertake M&E activities and initiatives including management of data quality, tracking progress of program activities implementation and impact and outcomes.
    T5. Development and pre-testing of monitoring and evaluation tools.
    T6. Undertake capacity building of staff in monitoring and evaluation and train enumerators on use of tools and data collection before surveys.
