    Job Purpose:
    Lead and manage the Bank’s litigation portfolio and strategic legal engagements to minimize risk and ensure compliance. Oversee dispute resolution, coordinate with external counsels, and provide timely legal advice on recovery and operational matters.     Main Responsibilities:
    Business and Operational delivery

    Support the Head of Legal on effective and efficient management of the Litigation and Strategic Engagements Unit.
    Prepare court documents/pleadings and represent the bank in courts of law.
    Ensure effective management and monitoring of all cases and stakeholder engagements.
    Ensure effective building and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders such as Judiciary, Solicitor General’s office, National Prosecutions Services, Land Registries and Law Enforcement Organs.
    Ensure provision of court cases for contingent liability complies with the approved Bank framework on a quarterly basis.
    Ensure case management system is in place and functions to the best standards in the industry.
    In liaison with the Head of Legal, ensure proper attendance of all bank operations matters involving law enforcement organs, the evidence on record is assessed and the Bank’s senior management is advised accordingly.
    Coordinate reporting of criminal matters to law enforcement organs with the Head of Legal.
    Liaise with the Director of Public Prosecutions and watch court briefs in litigated criminal cases the bank has interest.
    Ensure any litigation matter (s) that involve significant potential financial and/or reputation damage to the bank including major fines and penalties emanating from regulatory proceedings, be reported to bank’s senior management accordingly.
    Ensure any public statement including media briefing or response to media enquiry about litigation matters is approved by the Head of Legal.
    Ensure all court-related documents, agency notices and all requests from the law enforcement organs once served to the branch network and head office are promptly attended.
    Ensure Litigation is effectively carried out through services of both internal and external legal counsels and advocates.
    Provide guidance to other departments and ensure that all queries related to case management and various orders (Legal) are resolved.
    Be a custodian of the list of in-house and external counsels who are handling the Bank’s cases.
    Provide legal advisory services to the Bank on all legal issues related to cases.
    People management
    Build and develop a high-performing team through mentoring, coaching, and on the job training.
    Oversee resource planning, succession management, and training needs analysis.
    Act as an escalation point for unresolved queries and ensure timely resolution.
    Drive continuous improvement in legal processes and reporting standards.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Must have sufficient knowledge of all legal regulations in Tanzania.
    Adequate knowledge in standard computer applications

    Responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of the bank’s physical security program.     Main Responsibilities:
    Security Strategy and planning

    Design and implement physical security strategies aligned with NMB bank’s physical security policy and BOT guidelines
    Develop and update security policies, procedures and contingency plans scenarios like robberies, fire tragedies, natural disaster and civil unrest
    Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis to identify and address risks.

    Managing security operations
    Oversee the installations, maintenance, and operation of security systems, including CCTV, intrusion detection, access control, and alarms.

    Oversee retrieval and secure handling of CCTV footage to support investigations and compliance requirements
    Executive residence security coordination
    Coordinate and oversee security arrangements at the residence of designated bank executives
    Ensure protocols are in place for both static and mobile protection as required
    Emergency response and crisis Management
    Lead responses to security emergencies and incidents. Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services and advise the management to make informed decisions .
    Develop and implement crisis management plans for emergencies like armed robberies, civil unrest etc.
    Ensure post-incident investigations are conducted and detailed reports and recommendations are prepared to prevent recurrence.
    Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
    Ensure security practices comply with internal physical security policy, The banking and Financial Institutions (Physical security measures) Regulation 2014, other related regulations and international standards
    Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors to maintain compliance and address findings.
    Stay updated on security regulations and emerging threats, adapting policies accordingly.
    Training and Awareness
    Design and conduct security awareness training to employees including emergency procedures, cash handling, security operations of the bank
    Conduct emergency preparedness drills and simulations to test security measures and response protocols and people awareness
    Promote security awareness, encouraging staff to report suspicious activities and follow policies and procedures.
    Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    Collaborate with the Branch Controls and Quality Assurance, Operational Risk, Audit, and Compliance departments to align Physical Security Operations.
    Act as the primary security contact by providing updates to Senior management and the board.
    Budget and Resource Management
    Develop and manage the security budget, optimizing resources for personnel and equipment.
    Evaluate and procure security technologies and services, negotiating cost-effective contracts.
    Monitor expenditures, implementing cost-saving measures without compromising security and safety.
    Supporting and conducting investigations
    Ensure investigation of incidents such as theft, violation of security procedures ,robbery ,damage of property ,accidents
    Ensure support to forensic/fraud investigations and resolving internal and external customers and other stakeholders’ queries and requests for CCTV footage and other security logs are attended

    The Aga Khan Foundation, supported by Irish Embassy Tanzania, is seeking a dynamic and committed Project Officer to join the core implementation team of the Tuinuke Pamoja Project.
    The Project Officer will be an essential member of the team, responsible for the on-the-ground planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. This role requires close engagement with community groups, Local Government Authorities (LGAs), and various stakeholders to strengthen gender equality efforts, drive inclusive participation (especially for women, youth, and people with disabilities), and ensure the timely, high-quality execution of all project initiatives at the grassroots level.
     Key Responsibilities
    The successful candidate will undertake the following:

    Actively participate in the day-to-day project activities within the assigned District.
    Provide hands-on support to Grassroots Groups to ensure the timely and quality implementation of activities addressing identified Gender Equality issues in the field.
    Support the delivery of various project activities as required.
    Support the identification and establishment of grassroots groups.
    Play a major role in strengthening the stability and collaboration of Grassroots Groups.
    Maintain excellent working relationships with Grassroots Groups, LGAs, AKF Tanzania (AKFT), community leaders, and other project stakeholders.
    Create and sustain synergy for collaboration and coordination at the district level to ensure optimum project performance and results realization.
    Support the assessment of training needs for grassroots groups.
    Promote women/gender mainstreaming, People with Disability (PWD) inclusiveness, and youth participation throughout the project lifecycle
    Support MERL activities, including carrying out field-level data collection.
    Support Community Groups in reporting on their project implementation progress.
    Support the establishment and implementation of monitoring and supervision mechanisms for project activities at the community level.

    The requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Studies, Gender, Development Studies or any other related field.
    Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the field to promote gender equality activities through engaging with grassroot groups, community and LGAs and other community structures and resources.
    At least two years’ experience in working with Grassroot Groups, in implementation of gender equality focused activities.
    Ability in designing community mobilization, sensitization and awareness raising activities for Gender equality.
    Ability to effectively collect and use data.
    Good written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize workload.
    Self-motivated, good organization and management skills.
    Ability to work with multiple tasks, demands and deadlines, with a positive and constructive attitude under minimal supervision.
    Self-managed, able to work independently and within a team.

    Must have at least 3 years of working experience in business operation and value chain management, operating model design, systems analysis in the banking industry, research review, program design and development in a fast-growing dynamic business environment, with a strong tracking record on creating positive impact to the institution.
    Previous experience in corporate operation management, value chain management or in a similar role will be an added advantage.
    Understanding of the value management and conversant in banking business operations, or value chain management
    Experience in banking customer operations service delivery.
    Experience with databases and project management software.

    Responsible for designing, building, optimizing, and deploying machine learning (ML) models into production environments. The role bridges the gap between data science and operational systems by ensuring that models are scalable, secure, and performant.

    Principle Responsibilities

    Develop, deploy, and operationalize machine learning and deep learning models in collaboration with data scientists and MLOps engineers.
    Build and maintain model APIs, microservices, and serving infrastructures for real-time and batch inference.
    Ensure model scalability, performance, and security in production environments.
    Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration, testing, and deployment of ML models.
    Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering for model readiness.
    Monitor deployed models for drift, accuracy degradation, and operational performance, implementing retraining pipelines as needed.
    Contribute to the design and maintenance of ML infrastructure and containerized environments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
    Work closely with the Data Governance and AI Governance teams to ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and operational standards.
    Document ML processes, model configurations, and versioning for auditability and reproducibility.
    Continuously research and integrate emerging ML engineering practices and tools to enhance model lifecycle management.

    Qualifications Required

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
    3–5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, or related roles.
    Proven experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments.
    Practical knowledge of API development, DevOps tools, and container orchestration.
    Familiarity with MLOps pipelines, model monitoring, and version control systems (Git).
    Experience working in financial institutions or regulated environments is an added advantage.
