    JOB PURPOSE
    To perform cross functional activities in maintaining the company’s relationships with its suppliers including procurement, quality control, supplier monitoring, contract negotiations, inventory management and control.
    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage relationships with the company’s suppliers through supplier evaluations, selections, and negotiating terms of contracts.
    Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality control, cost control, and timely delivery of procured consignments.
    Monitor inventory levels and inventory usage in collaboration with internal departments to optimize procurement and delivery times.
    To oversee procurement processes including ordering, invoicing, receiving and inspection.
    Institute security protocols and procedures that will protect inventory from theft, pilferage and damage.
    Ensure compliance with established regulations, legal requirements and company policies related to procurement.
    Oversee regular stock-taking processes per company policy to ensure accurate record-keeping regarding inventory.
    Establish internal monitoring controls to identify areas of improvement.
    Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or related field.
    At least 3 years’ work experience in procurement, logistics or supply chain management.
    Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
    Familiar with inland transportation contracts.
    Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    Knowledge of procurement, inventory management and supply chain processes.

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Perform wide range computer system maintenance activities including installations, troubleshooting, upgrading, and configurations of hardware, software and network systems.
    Provide technical support to internal users by troubleshooting issues with computer hardware, software and networks.
    Provide useful recommendations on the usage of ICT facilities to prevent risk of damage to the company’s ICT assets, including hardware and software assets.
    Recommend and implement sound computer usage practices to maximise network security by assisting in the development of ICT policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT (NAKAMBALA)
    This position reports to the Lead Artisan – Machine Workshop. The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance initiatives and plans to reduce costs and downtime.
    Key Performance Areas

    Implement the “Illovo Way of Maintenance” (iAMP) on all mechanical equipment maintenance to ensure Illovo is the world class sugar producer.
    Ensure compliance to minimum operating standards.
    Promote cross-discipline functional and stakeholder engagement as well as teamwork.
    Promote a culture of consistently assessing risks and drive continuous improvement throughout operations by using best practices

    Contribute to the RCA process in your section possessing a positive mind set and elimination of failure.
    Monitor own section KPIs, understand your contribution to them, contribute to solutions to resolve out of spec KPIs and maintain actions to sustain KPIs being within spec.
    Execute work for stop day, shut-down and off-crop maintenance activities on the plant equipment and carry out the machining timeously without delay to production.
    Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

    Minimum Qualifications

    Grade 12 Certificate
    Craft Certificate in Machining
    2+ years post experience in a robust plant environment
    Training or knowledge in CNC machines will be an added advantage
