    HEAVY PLANT DIESEL MECHANIC
     
     
    MAIN DUTY: To repair, overhaul, maintain and service earthmoving equipment, heavy duty trucks and other diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
     
     
    Attributes & Skills
     
     

    Use spares and equipment in a cost-effective manner.

    Replaces parts and components, and keep detailed, organised records of all repair works done.

    Performs diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on earthmoving equipment, trucks and other equipment according to set standards to ensure optimum availability.

    Test runs and operates all serviced equipment to ensure efficiency and functionality according to manufactures specifications after repairs/service.

    Execute any other morally reasonable assignments to meet the exigencies of service.
