    Job Objective
    The TSFP Nurse is responsible for improving the nutritional status of vulnerable communities by treating moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) and preventing further deterioration. This includes the provision of therapeutic food, routine medications, health and nutrition education, and supporting the Woreda Health Office in the effective management of moderate acute malnutrition.
    Key Responsibilities
    Objective 1: Ensure Effective Implementation of TSFP Activities

    Plan and organize TSFP activities at Community , health centers and posts in coordination with other nutrition team.
    Develop an actionable plan for efficient TSFP implementation in consultation with the Senior Nutrition Officer
    Provide ongoing supportive supervision to Health Workers (HWs), Health Extension Workers (HEWs), and Food Distribution Agents (FDAs).
    Ensure accurate anthropometric measurements of children and adherence to admission, discharge, and transfer criteria.

    Review reporting forms for accuracy and completeness.

This role would involve project management, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment with World Vision’s overall mission and strategic goals.     Activity:

    Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of climate change and environmental projects, especially those involving carbon financing mechanisms.
    Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, impact, and sustainability.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, partners, and government agencies related to climate change and environmental projects.
    Possess a strong understanding of climate change issues, environmental management, and carbon finance mechanisms, including Voluntary Carbon offset and other carbon markets.
    Prepare detailed reports on project progress, findings, and lessons learned, ensuring adherence to World Vision’s reporting standards.
    Support the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives to ensure local communities have the knowledge and skills to manage and sustain their environmental projects.
    Work collaboratively with other departments within World Vision Ethiopia and external partners to ensure effective project implementation and knowledge sharing.
    Support the organization’s advocacy efforts on climate change and environmental issues, and effectively communicate project results to a wide range of audiences.
    Identify and document best practices and lessons learned from project implementation, contributing to the organization’s knowledge base.
    Support FMNR Movement Catalyst Project Manager for FMNR Scale up of FMNR across the regions through coordination with Regional Liaison Coordinators

    Qualifications Required:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, forestry, agriculture, or related development studies.
    Strong knowledge of climate change, environmental management, and carbon finance mechanisms.

    Work Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, particularly in the areas of climate change, environment, and carbon finance

  • Assistant Storekeeper at World Vision Ethiopia

    To assist the Storekeeper ensure proper and safe storage of all food and non-food commodities entrusted to the care of WV by donors. The Assistant Storekeeper is responsible for documentation of commodity transactions in the warehouse, including receipt, storage and delivery of all food and non-food commodities in compliance with World Vision food assistance and donor (WFP) standards and guidelines.
    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
    Commodity Management

    Ensure that all commodities arriving at the warehouse and leaving the warehouse are properly accounted for.
    • Receive the commodities in the warehouse. Make sure to know in advance about the types, shipments and amount of commodities to expect in the warehouse so storage plan can be prepared before arrival of commodities.
    • Scrutinize all waybills to ensure that the commodities are of correct quantities and quality as manifested on the waybill.
    • Immediately record all quantities delivered short (missing), quantities lost in transit and quantities damaged if any. All observations must be recorded immediately.
    • Supervise loading and off-loading of the commodities making sure it is properly undertaken. Commodities must carefully be inspected and counted during off-loading before accepting in the warehouse.
    • Immediately reconstitute torn / loose / slack / leaking / damaged bags, tins or cartons to prevent any further loss. Document such activity.
    • Maintain good warehousing standards. Storage of commodities must be done properly. Commodities must be stacked on pallets and in an organized manner by commodity type and by shipment number to facilitate proper physical count

    Commodity Accounting
    • Ensure all commodities have stack cards and are updated after every transaction.
    • Ensure commodities are stored on pallets always.
    • Ensure warehouse is kept clean.
    • Maintain daily attendance book for the casual loaders
    Reporting

    Ensuring that warehouse reports are submitted to the Field Office by the 1st day of the following month latest
    Prepare monthly Commodity Receipt Summary, Truck Inspection Reports, Dispatch Summary, Loss Status Reports and Physical Inventory Reports at the end of every month.
    Warehouse Management
    Ensure that all the general rules of warehouse operations are observed through consistently and routine inspection
    • Ensure warehouse is clean, dry and free from rodents/pests.
    • Ensure the warehouse has adequate equipment and supplies.
    • Ensure that a warehouse layout and floor plan are in place and being followed.
    • Ensure correct procedures for determining unfit commodities is followed.
    • Be alert to observe any signs of weevils and other grain pests that damage the commodities during storage. Commodities must in good condition. Check for infestation and take immediate action by informing the Logistic Officer.
    Ensure correct procedure for sale and disposal of empty containers/cartons/sacks is followed at all times.

    Capacity Building

    Work with the Logistics Officer/FAIRO/Commodity Manager to provide training on warehouse management and control and documentation for the warehouse and field staff at project level.
    Supervise and train the Assistant Storekeeper/Warehouse Tally Clerks working in the respective warehouse.
    Supervise the Warehouse Guards and Loaders working in the respective warehouses/stores.
    Supervise the truck drivers in the process of loading and offloading commodities

    About You

    Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

    BA/BSc Degree in Business and Supply Chain Management, Disaster Management, Development Studies or Diploma in related field with minimum of seven (7) years of experience

    Required Professional Experience

    Minimum of two (2) years in logistics and warehousing in a refugee or internally displaced persons (IDPs) context or established corporate entity
    Previous working knowledge of working with logistics and supply chain management information systems • Good understanding of humanitarian principles and accountability to affected populations (AAP)
