We are seeking a skilled and culturally competent Chinese Language Translator who is fluent in Amharic and English, with preferable knowledge of Somali, to support communication across multilingual teams, clients, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will provide accurate, context-sensitive translations of spoken and written material from Chinese to Amharic/English and vice versa, and optionally Somali.

Education

A bachelor’s Degree or certification in Translation in Chinese Language

Qualifications

Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), Amharic, and English is required.
Proficiency in Somali is a strong asset.
Proven experience in translation and/or interpretation (written and verbal).
Strong understanding of the cultural context of the languages spoken.

Oversee data collection efforts, including surveys, interviews, and secondary research.
Develop and manage customer satisfaction and post-sale evaluation metrics.
Provide research-based inputs into product pricing, branding, and promotional strategies.
Manage relationships with external research agencies, when applicable.
Train and mentor junior marketing research staff.

About You

Education:
BA/MA in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in market research, preferably in the real estate or property development industry.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and statistical skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI).
Deep understanding of the Ethiopian real estate market.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
