Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Development
Deliver engaging and student-centered lessons in Economics and Business Studies aligned with the Ethiopian National Curriculum
Enrich the curriculum with global best practices, fostering analytical thinking and real-world application
Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities that promote critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset
Use diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Student Development & Mentorship
Serve as a mentor and role model, inspiring girls to pursue academic excellence and personal growth
Support students in developing leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Provide individualized academic support and guidance to help students reach their full potential
Encourage participation in clubs, competitions, and community projects related to economics and business
School Culture & Collaboration
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and holistic education
Participate actively in staff development, school events, and strategic planning

Administrative & Reporting Duties
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress
Prepare regular reports and contribute to the school’s academic monitoring and evaluation systems
Assist in developing and implementing school improvement initiatives
About You
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Studies, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level
Strong command of the Ethiopian National Curriculum and ability to deliver it effectively
Excellent classroom management and student engagement techniques
Proven ability to foster critical thinking, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to girls’ education, empowerment, and holistic development
High standards of professional integrity, punctuality, and team collaboration
