    Job Description    

    ITB Flexible Packaging Solutions (ITB) is a flexible plastic packaging manufacturer and part of the Novus Holdings Group. ITB produces an array packaging for the FMCG and food markets. Its products include retail bags, security bags, FFS food packaging, heavy duty sacks and carrier bags which are distributed across South Africa and abroad.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    Setting up of the co-extruders in accordance with the Job card requirements and guidelines as specified in the Extrusion Start-up and procedures and machine sheets.
    Inspect and record quality at the beginning and throughout the shift
    Use co-extrusion trouble -shooting guide when discrepancies are detected.
    Constantly monitor width, colour and clarity to avoid out of spec situation
    Provide sample to QA for inspection at the end of each and every roll
    Remove all out of spec rolls from production and flag it.
    Complete identification ticket for every roll should the job require further processing and insert it thereon.
    Inspect pallets for conformance in conjunction with QAT.
    Regularly check production status of each job to efficiently change jobs on completion of an order.
    Record an ongoing tally of production of production in individual co-extrusion machine production books including on hold stations.
    To continuously perform trouble shooting on machines whenever necessary.

    Educational Requirements    

    Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

    Experience Requirements    

    Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2001 Quality standards.
    At least 4 years’ experience in the plastic industry (packaging)
    At least 2 years’ experience as a Co-Extrusion operator with basic computer knowledge.
    Certificate in Blown Film an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies    

    Must have a good knowledge of how the co-extrusion machine work.
    Ability to adjust, calibrate and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
    Ability to set up and start co-extrusion machine and ability to calculate and achieve best possible OEE
    Ability to calculate weight per metre on given film and micron size.
    Ability to gauge temperature for processing low /high density.
    Ability to calculate BUR on given diameter and film size.
    Ability to calculate DDR on given BUR, die gap and micron size.
    Ability to calculate weight on given LD, LLD percentages and the weight of the total mix.

    Collaborate with internal (especially on premise- and culture- marketing) and external stakeholders (artists, promoters, agencies, creatives) to leverage business success
    Deliver premium execution and creative value-adds to enhance Red Bull’s brand image and increase consumption at events (Red Bull events, 3rd party such as para-gastronomy and festivals)

    Build and maintain long-lasting collaborations with key stakeholders.
    Negotiate win/win partnership agreements which add value to both Red Bull’s business and customer’s business.
    Leverage your impressive communication, sales and marketing ability to keep Red Bull number one On Premise.
    Drive and expand the business by identifying the right sales and marketing occasions in which Red Bull should be present (brand, product).
    Turn insights into impactful programmes to drive sales and leverage the Red Bull brand image.
    Measure success by diligently tracking, analysing and reporting on performance and areas of growth and opportunity.

    EXPERIENCE
    Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

    Sales and Marketing experience preferred.
    You are the face of Red Bull, and it is your personal, unique, open manner combined with your knowledge and experience that thrills our customers.
    Your first experience in field sales?  – In our Musketeer Team we welcome people with an affinity for sales or the industry.
    You don´t need to be an IT expert, however, you are IT savvy with a laptop, tablet, mobile phone, and related standard software.
    Fearless Tenacity to win new business and form new relationships.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    You are your own boss: Responsible for your independent action and strong implementation.
    You are practical and pragmatic.
    Self-motivated and able to work independently.
    Valid drivers license and knowledge of the geography managed
