  • Senior Financial Accountant HR Manager

    Key qualifications and experience required for the Senior Financial Accountant:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    Additional Certifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting would be advantageous
    8 – 10 years’ experience in afinance-related role,ideally within the financial services industry
    Expertise in accounting andfinancial reportinginmulti-entity environments
    Proficient in Sage, QuickBooks, Xeroandadvanced Excel

    Key duties of the Senior Financial Accountant:

    Maintain accurate financial records by managing general ledger entries, reconciliations, journal postings and intercompany loan accounts across multiple entities
    Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, debt collection, supplier account reconciliation and processing national and international payments
    Conduct property management support tasks such as invoice processing, client/tenant communication and administrative duties
    Reconcile cash books and bank accounts regularly, manage credit card transactions, petty cash balances and ensure accurate recording of all transactions
    Prepare financial reports (quarterly/annual), assist with stakeholder reporting and board pack compilation, and support budgeting and forecasting activities
    Handle statutory submissions (e.g., VAT returns, EMP201 declarations) while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
    Organise digital filing systems via SharePoint to maintain documentation electronically and support automation initiatives for a paperless environment
    Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during audits or reviews and liaise with banking or insurance institutions as needed

    Promote partnerships between government, public entities, private sector and civil society regarding water services infrastructure grant programmes.
    Assure that water services infrastructure grant programmes are budgeted for in medium term expenditure framework. Ensure that monitoring and evaluation for water services infrastructure grant programmes are properly conducted properly in provinces.

    Major accountabilities:

    Batch record review and related activities (e.g., PIT, reference standards ordering and management, import permit application, method transfer, sample and temperature checks) for timely market release of finished goods.
    Product Quality Reviews according to schedule, in order to monitor the quality of products and compliance against the marketing authorization.  Compile PQR reports for product renewals.
    Artwork review
    Raise, investigate, manage and actively resolve quality investigations as needed e.g., deviations, complaints, CAPAs, non-conformances in conjunction with third parties and operational units to minimize impact on product availability and business.
    Create and maintain GxP documentation
    Self-inspections and supplier / third party assessments according to schedule. Propose and monitor actions to improve/maintain quality standards
    Provide QA/QC support for product launches.
    Deliver on KPI measures in a timely way
    Day-to-day coordination and communication with external functions (e.g distributors, analytical laboratory, customers)
    Manage goods for destruction
    Perform product return evaluations and determine disposition
    Handling of technical product complaints.
    Training to ensure continuous quality maintenance and quality improvement
    Take responsibility for corporate citizenship within the sphere of influence and control, and to enforce the Company Code of Conduct

    Minimum Requirements:
    Work Experience:

    Responsibilities

    Oversee storage and movement of stock in the warehouse, ensuring proper categorization and organization.
    Maintain stock bins and locations in cooperation with segment managers, including segment separation, demo stock, and RMA’s.
    Control and account for stock movements (inbound and outbound), including off-loading, verification, GRV capture, invoicing, and shelving.
    Prepare and manage dispatches: verify invoices, package goods, prepare waybills, and arrange cost-effective deliveries.
    Conduct quarterly stock takes and cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report findings to accounting/finance.
    Support over-the-counter sales in cooperation with sales coordinators.
    Uphold strict access control within the warehouse.
    Maintain accurate stock records and assist Warehouse Manager with MIS reporting.
    Ensure proper warehouse housekeeping to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    Matric certificate required.
    Relevant tertiary qualification in Warehousing Operations strongly recommended.
    3–5 years’ experience in warehouse, inventory, or stock control roles.
    Familiarity with stock management systems, such as Granite WMS, Sage 300, and Accpac.
    Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
    Knowledge of stock management best practices and products kept in stock.
    Ability to liaise effectively with customers and work collaboratively in a team.
