    Responsibilities

    Channel onboarding

    Set up new partners – key accounts, merchants and any other relevant accounts on the Airtel Money system while ensuring proper coordination and creation within the defined business processes and turnaround timelines.
    Ensure all relevant Know Your Customer (KYC) documents e.g. duly completed forms, company incorporation documents, business permits, copy of identification documents etc. are received from trade and approved by the Airtel Money (AM) Risk & Compliance team.
    Carry out preliminary KYC documentation checks for the relevant information. If the documents received do not conform to the requirements and have been rejected by AM Risk & Compliance communicate with partner account owner for correction before account is created.
    Enter the partner account details in the Airtel Money system, create and assign the tills as well as review the creation of the partner accounts to ensure that there are no errors and the account type and correct hierarchy mapping.
    Inform respective partner that the account is created and provide assistance and guidance in the activation process.
    Attach the application forms to the Airtel money system or document management system and file the hardcopy after creation.
    Resolve a request as and when received.
    Ensure partners are on boarded with correct approved tarrifs.

    Float management

    Verify the initial deposit slips or subsequent deposit or transfer of funds in trust account with Finance before crediting (allocating) float to partner accounts.
    Contact Finance to confirm that the partner account has been fully credited with initial float deposited.
    Ensure float automations are happening smoothly and engage the banks for resolutions where there are issues.
    Ensure liquidity of the key wallets to avoid business interruptions.
    Automate more trust bank channels to eradicate manual float purchase

    Partner support 

    Communicate and align with partners and other stakeholders the support process to resolve issues faced.
    Receive and coordinate partners’ queries resolution by cross functional engagement.
    Timely response to partners’ issues and keep health relationship with partners for continued business.
    Proactive monitory of key partners’ services to avoid interruptions.
    Support partners bank sweep configurations.
    Support partners’ funds movement through bank sweeps or manual transfers requests.
    Support partners commission payments.

    Processes and controls

    Periodic review (e.g. quarterly) of processes related to partners onboarding, sweeps configurations, partners churn etc.
    Perform all key controls related to channel partners onboarding e.g KYC review, Landing review and correction, sweep configurations etc.
    Ensure KYC document are securely stored and can easily be retrieved.
    Timely processing and dispatching of partner payments after Finance approval.
    Channel partners audit support both internal and external.

    Airtel Money Reports

    Float reports showing and tracking the purchases through manual and automated channels.
    Onboarding report how many on boarded weekly, monthly.
    Complaints register…what are top complaints, how many complaints, SLA for complaints resolution.
    Extract and share reports on issues logged, tracking the SLA of each issue resolutions and the status of each.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    Engage with cross functional stakeholders internal and external in carrying out the daily operations to ensure effective communication and update on all the activities.
    Participate in testing in case of any partner related process improvements or changes.
    Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
    Keep all relevant people informed of progress in work, presents complex information and concepts in a way which is simple to understand.

    Qualifications

    Educational Level

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.

    Relevant Experience

    1 year of experience in administration.
    2 years of experience from financial and or telecommunications will be an advantage.

  • Fleet Controller (Cane Supply) – 8 Positions at Kilombero Sugar

    Job Purpose
    We are looking for Fleet Controller (Cane Supply) to Implement the Country’s cane supply strategy to ensure long term continuity of optimum cane production by all Growers, Implement and drive relevant Kilombero Agriculture Ways and related standards in cane supply, Monitor and control cane quality and the delays between harvesting and crushing and Maintain positive relationships with Growers by keeping them updated / informed of Mill status.
    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    Complete cane haulage vehicle conformance checklist prior to vehicle activation for cane
    delivery.
    Liaise with grower and/or haulier supervisors to gather information on available and collectible cane stocks for input into cane logistics system and loader availability by field.
    Capture and perform hourly checks on available and collectible cane stocks into the cane logistics system for all harvesting sites.
    Interact with cane haulage drivers on taring out and issuing scheduling tickets.
    Monitor all cane haulage vehicle statuses to detect supply risks at any given point in time.
    Gather information on field conditions and update information on the system and report to relevant stakeholders.
    Gather information on vehicle breakdowns and estimated time of arrival via mobile/telephone.
    Liaise with hauliers on vehicle breakdowns within mill vicinity for immediate action.
    Monitor and ensure that vehicle statuses in cane logistics system represent the true situation on the ground.
    Liaise with mill personnel on supply risks and advise on sustainable crush rates given the status of supply as dictated by weather, field and road conditions as well as other emerging road transport challenges.
    Report network and polycomp board connectivity issues as well as cane logistics system downtime immediately to IT standby and cane logistics system support team for troubleshooting.
    Promote and adhere to Kilombero’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without
    limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

    Minimum Requirements:

    A ‘Level certificate or equivalent.
    Minimum 2 years’ experience in sugarcane operations preferably harvesting and haulage.
    Knowledge of transport logistics will be an added advantage.
    Computer literacy with good understanding of fleet management systems.

    Purpose of Role
    The Area Manager, Agriculture Development provides technical agricultural extension services and mentorship/support to SBL’s LRM growers and value chain actors to ensure timely delivery of competitively priced brewing local raw materials in required quantities and desired quality

    Key Accountabilities

    Recruit growers and acreage to deliver agreed tonnage of cereals and other brewing starch sources (as tasked from time to time) of desired quantity and quality mainly barley, sorghum, and maize.
    Source raw materials in the most cost-effective manner to deliver quality on time in full.
    Identify and mitigate local raw material sourcing risks inclusive of short, mid, and long-term horizons.
    Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers including diverse suppliers.
    Deploy digital farming platforms to ensure smallholder farmers have accurate records and traceability is guaranteed in our sourcing regions.
    Provide technical agriculture extension services and post-harvest handling training to growers of the required brewing cereals and other brewing starch sources as tasked from time to time
    Work with relevant stakeholders, partners and value chain actors to ensure set targets are met on timely basis and carry out assessments to determine potential yields, adequacy / deficits and storage needs
    Ensure timely reporting and accurate management of company assets
    Implement and operate a safety agenda, risk assessment with mitigation plans and ensure full compliance of all local and applicable Diageo policies.
    Ensure company policies that relate to the agribusiness operations are fully explained and understood by local government authorities and community leaders.

     
    Experience / skills required:
    Qualifications:

    A university degree in agricultural sciences with additional skills in agribusiness management.

    Required Experience

    5+ years in a similar role.
    Agility and good business acumen.
    Experience in contract farming and working with smallholder farmers as well as commercial farmers.
    Outstanding communication and influencing skills.
    Experience partnering with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
    Solid understanding of agriculture value chains, agribusiness finance, and Climate Smart Agriculture in Tanzania.
