    Verifications and Calibrations

    Non Con-formances and Customer Feedback

    Completing the NCR documents as triggered by customer complains /GMP/PRP/ Audit findings.
    Follow up on Corrective and preventative actions.
    Close NCRs.
    Manage product restriction (on hold) program, including the status release and destruction of reject products.
    Work closely with production, NPD, QC and other teams to resolve quality concerns.
    Provide training and guidance to staff on quality requirements and best practices.
    Communicate the customer complaints to relevant production manager for investigation. Assist responsible person/ incident owner with investigation to identify root cause.
    Assist with completion of customer complain feedback and send to the Customer liaison.

    Audits

    Second in charge of handling third party audits in the absent of Quality Manager.
    Participate in all regulatory and customer requirements audits and inspections, and corrective actions response.

    Reporting

    Involved in the analysis of quality and food safety -related data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
    Prepare detailed weekly QA reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
    Prepare trends for Customer complaints, NCR’s (micro, PRP, CCP), Audit trends (results, re-occurring findings, findings)
    Report any change that may affect food safety and quality which may trigger a system, policy, procedure or record review.

    Quantum Lean

    Drive that 5S is implemented and maintained. 
    Drive the team to use quantum lean tools in scope of their work.
    Coordinate the team in preparation for benchmark.
    Ensure visual boards are kept updated by the team.
    Assist QA manager in driving for positive morale within QA team.

    The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all Pallet, RPC and Container plants and equipment in the region is optimally planned, procured, installed and maintained according to all corporate and legislative requirements. Ensuring that all plant, tools and equipment at all times delivers optimal production under the safest conditions and maintaining minimal machine down time. The incumbent will be responsible for adhering to and maintaining all company, legislative and regulatory safe work requirements and practices.
    He/She will be required to cost and time estimates of the planned maintenance work and prepare applicable technical documentation to promote quality and defect-free maintenance work.

    Stock Management

    Assists plants in managing stores and maintenance stocks efficiently.
    Ensures that the plants are efficiently and effectively stocked with the necessary tools and equipment to support the PMS programme

    Quality

    Ensures that the minimum quality standards are maintained
    Sets high standards on equipment received and ensures that all equipment delivers desired results in volume and quality.

    Plant and Property Maintenance

    Ensures overall compliance to all CHEP Operational SOP’s as well as local laws which includes LRA, BCEA, EE, OSH Act
    Ensures that all plants in the region have a controlled preventative maintenance plan in place.
    Promotes and manages the safe, efficient and effective use of all plant and equipment.
    Ensures that all breakdowns are attended to immediately
    Assists in the Designs, Installations and Commissioning of new plants.

    Operational Systems
