    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Planning deliveries from national/regional warehouses to customers thereby

    Ensuring that all dedicated vehicles are fully utilized.
    Ensuring all deliveries are completed timeously.
    Ensuring customer POD’s are captured at the relevant NDC/Branch
    Stock counts at financial year-end
    Reporting to Internal and external customers

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain.
    2- 4 Years experience within a supply chain with a focus on Outbound logistics.
    Advanced MS Office experience.
    Excellent communication skills are essential.
    SAP Experience being a pre-requisite.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics
    Short-term insurance qualification (NQF4) plus completed Digital Non-motor Assessors Skills Programme
    Certified Fraud Examiner qualification advantageous
    Five (5) years’ or more relevant experience at digital non-motor level (full spectrum), field assessing experience advantageous
    OR
    Seven (7) or more years’ relevant claims assessment experience (non-motor) (full spectrum)

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    All relevant product training completed
    Familiar with IM external systems

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Where routine maintenance reveals larger problems, and the process artisan is unable to resolve these, it must be escalated to the team leader
    Taking part in maintenance and cleaning days 
    This work must be executed in support of the maintenance support team and in accordance with the schedule issued by the maintenance planner
    Taking part in maintenance post mortems
    This must be done in support of maintenance specialist support
    Monitoring trends when conducting routine maintenance
    Where trends indicate the existence of underlying problems, corrective action must be Quality Control and Analyses taken
    This corrective action may involve the SBU, the maintenance controller or maintenance support
    When operating, the process artisan must carry out the non-destructive quality checks and analyses 
    The list of checks to be carried out are contained in the work instructions
    Recording the results of quality checks on the relevant documentation or information system
    Where production does not meet quality standards the process artisan must try to identify and resolve problems using the appropriate techniques
    If they are unable to resolve the problem themselves, it must be escalated to the team leader for further direction

    Communication:

    Actively participating in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions
    Making use of the gap list to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities
    Fully understanding the team goals and participating in team goal review sessions
    Where FFA’s have been initiated, the process artisan may be asked to participate
    Making use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues

    Problem Solving:

    When problems occur, applying the appropriate techniques the identify and correct the problem
    Where the process artisan is unable to resolve the problem, involve fellow team members or escalate to the team leader if necessary
    Where problems have been resolved, verify that the problems have been eliminated

    Continuous Improvement:

    Using run/control charts and trend analysis, to identify sources of waste and variation in the process
    Using short stop analysis, Pareto charts and other tools seek to identify opportunities to simplify activities
    Where improvement opportunities have been identified, these must be recorded on the team gap list
    The process artisan should involve other team members in evaluating opportunities and call in specialist resources to assist if required

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS:

    Production Management – Deep Focus

    Responsible for constantly monitoring the tension devices to remove any foreign matter; tension on yarn to be monitored using a tension meter.
    Responsible for monitoring the number of ends running into the Heatset machine to ensure that if one end breaks, the remaining ends are cut off immediately, and the correct number of ends re-threaded into the machine.
    Attend to yarn breaks immediately and ensure that the winders run continuously.
    Use the splicing gun to join the yarn.
    Ensure that all aspirated waste is weighed and removed at the end of each shift.
    Responsible for labelling all bobbins produced at Heatset and Pattern Split.

    Stakeholder Relationships

    Attend daily shift team briefings and relay critical information to the Shift Supervisor to be constantly updated of issues requiring attention.
    Constantly update the shift supervisor on quality standards and product specific issues during the shift.
    Work with the other shift operators to implement solutions to quality defects or product specification issues detected.

    Reporting and Documentation

    Ensure that all processes, recipes, and production specifications are documented into required SOP and process flow formats and stored centrally as per agreed document management system.
    Ensure the most up to date SOPs and transactional documentation are followed to ensure consistency of process
