    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and improving mechanical systems and equipment to ensure efficient plant operations.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Install and assemble mechanical systems and equipment according to technical specifications. 2. Carry out routine, preventative and emergency maintenance to reduce equipment downtime3. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and engineering schematics. 4. Fabricate, modify, cut, grind and shape metal components where required.5. Diagnose mechanical faults and repair or replace defective components.6. Inspect and test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with company safety procedure. 8. Ensure proper use of tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, welding equipment and cutting tools 9. Record maintenance activities and report recurring mechanical issues.10. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

    Qualifications and Experience
    – At least Diploma in Machine shop Engineering – Attained Journeyman Maintenance Fitter Class 1- 3 years similar experience in similar role within Manufacturing Industry – A strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, maintenance and fault diagnosis- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
