    Description

    Operational Safety Assurance

    Process Safety Management (PSM)

    Risk and Incident Prevention

    Provide structured reporting on leading safety indicators and operational risk exposure.

    Contractor and Workforce Safety

    Support contractor onboarding, safety prequalification, and site supervision to ensure the safe execution of contracted work.
    Promote a strong field safety presence through observations, engagement with operators, and verification of safe work practices.

    SHE Operational Support

    Provide SHE standby oversight where required to ensure compliance with regulatory working-hour requirements.
    Support operational leadership with safety assurance and risk mitigation activities across all supported sites including MHI sites.

    Requirements

    Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
    Diploma / B Tech in safety, environmental or similar

    Job Objectives:

    Tax Responsibilities

    Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
    Ensure timely completion, filing, and submission and payment deadlines of any tax returns.
    Provide guidance to the business on any transactions with tax implications, ensuring correct treatment and risk mitigation.
    Ensure accurate tax computations and well-supported estimates, staying with relevant legislative changes.

    Indirect Tax (VAT, payroll taxes)

    Purpose

    Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ relevant laboratory experience at technician level. 3-4 years would be ideal.
    Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge of mechanical/metallurgical testing, statistics, and quality control systems.
    ISO 17025: Experience as a Technical Signatory in an accredited laboratory is a distinct advantage.
    Skills: Advanced data analysis, method validation using statistical tools, and in-depth root cause analysis.
